Arsenal have reached their second consecutive UEFA Champions League semi-final, but when do Mikel Arteta's side face Atletico Madrid, and how does it fit around their Premier League commitments?

The Gunners can still make history this season as they battle on two fronts to end their wait for silverware.
Arteta, whose only major trophy as manager so far was the FA Cup in his first season in charge back in 2020, will face Spanish counterparts Atletico later this month after overcoming Sporting CP 1-0 on aggregate in the quarter-finals.
On the other side of the draw, defending champions Paris Saint-Germain must overcome Bayern Munich, who knocked out 15-time winners Real Madrid 6-4 on aggregate in an epic quarter-final.

Arsenal were beaten by Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend to leave the race for the title wide open, but speaking after narrowly beating Sporting, Arteta believes reaching the Champions League semi-finals could act as the perfect shot in the arm for the weeks ahead.
When asked if the result can serve as springboard for their crunch meeting with Pep Guardiola’s side on Sunday, Arteta replied: "100%."
"This is a massive push to win the semi-final of the Champions League. It’s extremely tough and we know what we’ve done. We deserve it, fully deserve it as well, and we’re going to enjoy it because we deserve it.

"My message [to the players] was gratitude to them. I know the effort and the commitment that they have put in.
"There's a lot of work behind it. We've done something that has never been done in the history of our club in 140 years, so that tells you the difficulty of that, and we had to do it in a very special way, missing a lot of important players."
For the second straight season, Arsenal are the only Premier League team left competing in the last four of the Champions League.
Atletico will host them at the Estadio Metropolitano in the first leg of their semi-final on Wednesday, April 29 - live on TNT Sports and HBO Max - with the return leg set to take place a week later on Tuesday, 5 May at Emirates Stadium. Both games will kick off 20:00 BST.

Arteta added: ”There is a reason why we are the only English team in the competition, because this league and this schedule takes the hell out of you.
”We are not perfect, we need to improve things, that’s for sure and we recognise that. But there’s value in what these players have done.”

Following Arsenal's trip to face Manchester City this weekend, they are next in Premier League action at home to Newcastle United on Saturday 25 April - at 17:30 BST - meaning they have a rare full week to prepare.

'Something special' to reach another semi-final but 'we have to improve a lot' - Arteta

Arteta's side then travel to Madrid for the first leg of their semi-final against Atletico on April 29, before returning to face Fulham at home on Saturday, May 2 - another 17:30 BST kick-off.
City, who were knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid in the round of 16, visit Everton on Monday, May 4, looking to respond before Arsenal host Diego Simeone's Atletico side in the second leg the following evening.
Arsenal would then have an uninterrupted run of their remaining three Premier League fixtures - against West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace - before preparing for a potential Champions League final on Saturday, May 30 at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.

What about the other three teams?
While Arsenal are embroiled in a close battle to be crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years, Bayern Munich can wrap up their 13th Bundesliga title in the past 14 seasons this weekend.

The Bavarians lead second-placed Borussia Dortmund by 12 points with five rounds remaining and can secure the title on Sunday at home to Stuttgart if Dortmund drop points at Hoffenheim the day before.
Atletico are 22 points behind Barcelona in La Liga, but are also 11 points clear of fifth-placed Real Betis, so all of their focus is on the two-legged encounter with Arsenal.
Indeed, Atletico have lost five of their last six games in all competitions - but they won the one game that truly mattered, away to Barcelona at the Camp Nou by a two-goal margin, contributing to a 3-2 aggregate victory.
As for the holders PSG, Ligue 1 granted them permission to postpone their meeting with Lens last week so that Luis Enrique's side could prepare for their quarter-final against Liverpool, who were forced to play their Premier League game at home to Fulham between the two legs.

PSG, on a six-game winning streak in all competitions, are four points clear of Lens with a game in hand - but the crucial rearranged fixture will not take place until after the second leg of the semi-final against Bayern on Wednesday, May 6.
