LIVERPOOL SHOW THEIR POWER AS THEY STORM INTO UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUARTER-FINALS
Goals from Dominic Szoboszlai, Hugo Ekitike, Ryan Gravenberch and a 50th Champions League goal for Mo Salah saw the Reds progress 4-1 on aggregate.
The win completed another a European comeback at Anfield for Arne Slot’s side, which sets up a quarter-final clash with PSG.
Liverpool started fast and took a deserved lead after 25 minutes when Szoboszlai met a low corner to slot home the opener with a side footed shot.
The Reds fashioned a number of chances to go ahead on aggregate throughout the first half and had a golden opportunity to after Szoboszlai was brought down in the box.
With only minutes left in the half, Salah stepped up to take but produced an awful effort that was easily saved by Ugurcan Cakir in goal.
Six minutes into the second half, the Galatasaray resilience was broken again after a flowing passing move led to Salah delivering a low cross for Ekitike to tap home.
Just two minutes later, Liverpool extended their lead after Salah saw his shot saved before Gravenberch followed in on the rebound, bouncing his effort into the ground and into the empty net.
Salah got his crowning moment in the 62nd minute as he cut inside and curled a trademark effort into the top corner to become the first African to score 50 Champions League goals.

SLOT: FANS HELPED US TO VICTORY
The Liverpool boss has been speaking to TNT Sports after the whistle and thanked the home fans for their support which he says made all the difference.
"[I liked] Almost every single minute. I like the way we played, I liked the way we pressed, I liked the reaction of the fans when Galatasaray were trying to do what I expected them to do - being on the floor, waving, waving, waving, trying to destroy or kill our momentum, but our fans straight away reacted and our players reacted.
"The only thing that I could complain about is, throughout this whole season, we've created so many more chances than we've scored. Even today, we are under-performing in terms of xG! That's hardly possible! That's the only thing where improvement should be made, because you don't always get so many chances as we did today."
When asked about the atmosphere, Slot added: "It means a lot, not only to me but definitely also to my players.
"We've played twice away from home in their atmosphere and I think it's safe to say that our fans today showed that Anfield can create even a bigger atmosphere than we've experienced over there, and their atmosphere was already brilliant.
"What we saw and what we experienced today was a combination of players that were giving everything and fans that recognised the moment. When they were trying to be on the floor, wasting time, which we also see a lot in the Premier League by the way, our fans straight away reacted and that helped a lot."

SZOBOSZLAI: COY ON GERRARD COMPARISIONS
The Liverpool goalscorer spoke to TNT Sports after the full-time whistle and shared the motivation he got after hearing Galatasaray celebrating last week and spoke about Steven Gerrard comparisons.
He said: "From the first minute, we were on them and last game, I was giving an interview and I heard them celebrating.
"I spoke with a couple of guys in Turkey and this is usual, that after the game you celebrate. It doesn't matter if there is a second leg after.
"I took it a little bit personally and I think a couple of us did as well. I am still in the mind [that you] never celebrate too early. Maybe they didn't mean it. But that gave us a little push and I think from the first second, it was just all in."
On comparisons to Gerrard: "It's a nice compliment for me. When I was a child, watching him playing now wearing the No. 8.
"It's an unbelievable feeling and I think he's an inspiration for each of us. A club legend. Nothing else to say. I'm just happy to play for this club and hopefully keep on going."

The Frenchman spoke to TNT Sports directly after full-time and explained how his teammates and himself had spoken about how badly they needed to win tonight.
He said: "I think we deserve to be here. Really happy. I think we did a great job tonight. We could have won 10-0. We missed a few chances but we still did a good job. We can be proud of us tonight and we can look forward to the quarter-final."
"I think we needed this. We missed a few chances at the end of the first half. When I sat in the locker room at half-time, I was thinking 'we need to keep this game'.
"I had my chance. I could have scored more tonight to be honest. Ryan scored straight away. I think it helped the team. Everybody did a great job; ran for each other and that's why we won."
Ekitike also spoke about Salah and the legacy he is creating, adding: "He's a legend. Sometimes people say that he has had a difficult season, but for players like us, who have been watching him for years, he's important.
"Tonight, he had many chances but he still had the mindset to give me a great ball to score. I'm really happy for him. He deserves it. We need to do that every game now."
When asked about facing PSG in the next round, he added: "I can't wait to be there."
