Slavia Prague 2-4 Barcelona – Robert Lewandowski scores for both sides as Barca come from behind to win in Czechia

Barcelona claimed a hugely important UEFA Champions League victory on the road as they came from behind to defeat Slavia Prague 4-2 in the Czech Republic.

In a rollercoaster of a match, the hosts took the lead from their very first corner of the game, as Vasil Kusej bundled home at the back post to set the Eden Arena faithful into raptures after just 10 minutes.

Slavia continued to edge the early play as they kept Barca on the back foot, but after a good spell of play from the visitors, the La Liga giants eventually drew level on 34 minutes via Fermin Lopez's powerful shot on the angle.

Eight minutes later, Lopez added a second with a superb effort from distance to put Barca ahead just before half-time, but the teams went into the dressing rooms on equal terms after another Slavia corner caused chaos in the Barcelona box. This time, the ball ended up in the net via the shoulder of Robert Lewandowski, whose own goal levelled the scores.

With no clear sign of a winner mid-way through the second half, Barcelona boss Hansi Flick introduced Dani Olmo and Marcus Rashford on the hour mark, and both men were involved as the visitors scored twice to pull clear in the final half-hour.

Olmo needed just two minutes on the pitch to make the breakthrough, as he whipped a brilliant shot into the top corner to put Barca back in front. Then, seven minutes later, Rashford's charge down the left helped set up Lewandowski, who finally scored at the right end to wrap up the points for the Catalans.

Barcelona's victory means they're guaranteed a spot in the play-offs for the knockout stages, at the very least. They also still have a chance of a place in the automatic qualification places.

And with that final group stage game coming against Copenhagen at the Camp Nou, hopes will be high that Barcelona can punch their ticket to the knockout stages without having to go through the play-offs.

Robert Lewandowski finally gets his goal at the right end, and this time it's another of Barcelona's second-half substitutes who makes the difference.

Marcus Rashford makes a lung-bursting run down the left flank, gets the perfect pass, then crosses for Lewandowski, who reacts well when the ball hits him, then pokes the finish past Stanek to put Barca two goals clear.

Immediately after Stanek's save from Lewandowski, Barca recycle the ball and keep the pressure on.

And, after two Slavia defenders make a mess of clearing the ball, Dani Olmo, who has only just come on, sets his sights and whips an absolute beauty into the top corner.

It's a brilliant strike, and Barca are back in front.

Stanek does well to palm it away, but that was a good chance for the Barca hitman.

Pedri has gone down injured for Barca, and he's not going to be able to continue.

The game is getting stretched now, and becoming a bit of an end-to-end affair.

Slavia push forward again, and when a deep cross finds Provod at the back post, the midfielder's goal-bound volley is well saved by Barca keeper Joan Garcia.

Garcia made it look like a routine save, but it was a better save than that. He needed to hold onto it, too, otherwise there would have been an easy tap-in. Very solid goalkeeping.

Stanek makes a meal of a routine long shot, and in the ensuing scramble, Lewandowski taps hope to seemingly put Barcelona ahead.

The linesman's flag initially rules out the goal, but a VAR review lengthens the uncertainty.

In the end, the VAR verdict agreed with the on-field decision, and the goal is ruled out.
