The Gunners will meet either reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain or Vincent Kompany's free-scoring Bayern Munich in the final in Budapest on May 30 - live on TNT Sports and HBO Max.
And there is a growing sense of hope that Mikel Arteta's side could achieve a remarkable double this season, potentially winning both the Premier League and Champions League.
It has been an impressive run to the final for Arsenal, who finished top of the league phase table with eight wins from eight matches, then going on to beat Bayer Leverkusen and Sporting CP in the knockout stages before overcoming Atletico in the final four.
Arsenal are still yet to lose a game in the Champions League this campaign, and are now on a club-record unbeaten streak of 14 matches in the competition.
If that unbeaten run continues, Arteta and his players - and, of course, the travelling supporters - will celebrate glory in Hungary at the end of the month.
But how have Arsenal previously fared in the Champions League, and how many times have they lifted the trophy?

What is Arsenal's record in the Champions League?

Arsenal have never won the Champions League, but they came mightily close in 2006.
They reached the final against the dominant force of Barcelona in Paris, and they went ahead thanks to Sol Campbell's goal on 37 minutes at the Stade de France.
That strike came completely against the run of play after The Gunners' goalkeeper Jens Lehmann had been dismissed in the 18th minute, and Arsene Wenger's side went in at the interval with the unlikeliest of leads.
However, the tide turned in the latter stages of the game, and goals from Samuel Eto'o and Juliano Belletti broke Arsenal hearts.

That is the closest they have come to Europe's top prize, although they did reach the semi-finals in 2009, the year when a Lionel Messi-inspired Barcelona beat Manchester United 2-0 in Rome.
Wenger's side were beaten by United in both legs of their semi-final encounter, with John O'Shea netting the only goal of the first game at Old Trafford, before Cristiano Ronaldo's double added to Park Ji-Sung's strike, while Robin van Persie's penalty was a mere consolation.
From 2010/11 through to the 2016/17 season, Arsenal were knocked out in the first knockout round every year, and they lost 5-1 in both legs to Bayern Munich in 2017.
There was then a six-year absence from the Champions League as a decline in Premier League performance meant Arsenal instead only reached the UEFA Europa League for several seasons.
Arteta guided the club back to Europe's premier competition for the 2023/24 season, and they were beaten 3-2 on aggregate by Bayern in the last eight.

Saka gave his side the lead in the first leg at the Emirates, but Bayern hit back with goals from Serge Gnabry and Harry Kane, before Leandro Trossard's second-half equaliser. Joshua Kimmich got the decisive goal in the second leg in Munich.
In 2024/25, Arsenal reached their first Champions League semi-final in 16 years, where they lost 3-1 on aggregate to eventual winners PSG.
An early Ousmane Dembele strike was the only goal of the first leg in north London, before Fabian Ruiz and Achraf Hakimi sealed the tie in Paris.
