Jose Mourinho watched his Fenerbahce side lose 3-1 at home to Rangers in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, and then appeared to suffer further as he waited for a journalist to finish a lengthy question in the post-match press conference. The former Real Madrid boss explained just why he reacted in a comical fashion, before refusing to answer the question.

Jose Mourinho pretended to fall asleep as he waited for a journalist to finish a question after Fenerbahce’s home defeat to Rangers.

Mourinho’s side lost 3-1 at home in the UEFA Europa League, with the manager claiming after the match that it was, "not my fault," if his players had underestimated their opponents.

The Portuguese was subject to further questions at the press conference, and one journalist started a question that lasted the best part of 45 seconds.

At intervals, Mourinho was seen puffing his cheeks and rolling his eyes, as he waited for the translator to give him an explanation.

Eventually, he closed his eyes and feigned nodding off as the question failed to reach its conclusion.

When the translator had finally explained that it was a question regarding his player selections in defence, Mourinho gave the journalist short shrift, initially answering: "This is too much."

He then explained that after a draining evening on the sidelines, that he did not have the energy left to get into details.

"I'm tired, man. Ninety minutes, not to listen to all of this. Too tired for that."

Fenerbahce play the return leg next Thursday at Ibrox.
