Three clubs inquire about Mudryk
Coventry City are among three Premier League clubs who have approached Chelsea about the possibility of signing Mykhailo Mudryk this summer, the Daily Mail reports.
Mudryk is available after his doping case was resolved, and while the Ukrainian will be assessed by new Chelsea boss Xabi Alonso, there are options should the 25-year-old leave Stamford Bridge.
The Mail adds: ”All options are open between Mudryk and Chelsea this summer, including whether to send him out on loan after his sudden comeback from a doping suspension.
”Chelsea want to see where their player’s performance levels are now at, with the Ukraine international having not been involved in competitive football since November 2024. That was via his last appearance in a Conference League win away at Heidenheim in which he scored and then disappeared following his failed test.
”Another option this summer would be to send Mudryk on loan to Strasbourg, their sister side in France’s Ligue 1. That would allow him to stay under the BlueCo umbrella.”
Rashford on three-man shortlist
Fenerbahce are ready to ”break the bank” for Marcus Rashford after placing the Manchester United forward on their three-man shortlist, according to reports.
Rashford is back at United following a loan spell at Barcelona last season and Fenerbahce are weighing up a move for the England international.
However AC Milan winger Rafael Leao and Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr are also in the Istanbul club's sights.
The Sun adds: ”Fenerbahce have already held talks with Leao but have so far failed to agree a deal.
”They have also contacted the representatives of Sarr, who is represented by the same agent as Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson.
”Rashford’s representatives have also been contacted over a prospective move as Fenerbahce look to back new manager Ismail Kartal with a squad capable of challenging rivals Galatasaray.”
Newcastle reject Arsenal’s first Guimaraes bid
Newcastle United have rejected Arsenal’s first bid for Bruno Guimaraes after the Premier League champions’ offer fell ”significantly short” of the asking price, The i Paper reports.
Newcastle want more than £80 million for the Brazil international, and it is believed talks will continue with the player keen on a move to Arsenal.
The i Paper adds: ”So far all negotiations have taken place between third parties, with Guimaraes’ representatives talking informally with Newcastle sources. Guimaraes touched down in Spain on Monday morning on a pre-agreed travel plan with Newcastle.
”The 28-year-old is due to report to the club’s training base in La Manga and sources have stressed that he has done everything asked of him.
”While Guimaraes is keen for the move, there has been no repeat of the scenes last year when Alexander Isak effectively went on strike and refused to join up with Newcastle for their pre-season tour.
”But it appears increasingly likely that Guimaraes will leave St James’ Park this summer, making him the third big-name departure after Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon.”

Villa eye Barca midfielder
Aston Villa are considering a £30 million move for Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal, The Sun reports, despite the 19-year-old being regarded as ”untouchable” by Hansi Flick.
The Sun adds: ”Villa still want to test Barcelona‘s resolve after Unai Emery placed him at the top of his wishlist.
”The Spaniard is a big fan of Bernal and has asked Villa to make an approach for the player.
”Barca are resistant to selling as they don’t believe his talent can be replaced in the transfer market.
”Barcelona have already turned down offers from clubs in the region of £25m.”
