PEREIRA MAKES WINNING START AS FOREST THRASH FENERBAHCE
Vitor Pereira made a winning start at Nottingham Forest as they took a huge step towards the Europa League round of 16 with a 3-0 victory against Fenerbahce in Turkey.
The Reds established firm control of the play-off tie, with goals from Murillo, Igor Jesus and Morgan Gibbs-White in a dominant first leg.
Forest took the lead in magnificent fashion in the 21st minute. Murillo picked the ball up in the centre circle and drove into the heart of the Fenerbahce defence before brilliantly drilling a low shot beyond Ederson from 20 yards.
Thiago made it 2-0 just before half-time. Gibbs-White flicked on Elliot Anderson's corner at the near post and the Brazilian was unmarked to nod into the empty net from underneath the crossbar.
Sidiki Cherif tested Stefan Ortega with a fierce volley from a tight angle in the opening seconds of the second half.
However, Forest ultimately put the first leg beyond the hosts in the 50th minute, as Jesus sprung the offside trap before squaring for Gibbs-White to tuck away their third goal.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Neco Williams went close to adding further gloss to the scoreline later on but Forest will return to the City Ground for next week's second leg with a commanding three-goal advantage.

FOREST THRIVE IN UNCHARTED TERRITORY ON PEREIRA BOW
Pereira became the fourth different coach to take charge of Forest this season, doing so at a club where he previously enjoyed two spells.
This was the Reds' first ever match in Turkey, but any pre-match nerves they may have had quickly got forgotten about.
Murillo set them on their way with a wonderful individual goal, while Jesus doubled the lead with his customary Europa League goal.
The latter's seven goals in this season's competition is the most by any Forest player during a single European campaign.
Gibbs-White then got in on the act early in the second half and, from there, it was almost a procession to a comfortable victory for the visitors.
Pereira has now overseen victories in the opening matches of his last eight managerial roles, and Forest will hope his quick impact will help keep them clear of danger in the Premier League.
The omens are positive for them in this tie. Fenerbahce have never progressed from a major tie in European competition when losing the opening leg.
