PENALTIES HELP DYCHE SEAL FIRST WIN IN CHARGE
Penalties from Morgan Gibbs-White and Igor Jesus earned Nottingham Forest a 2-0 victory over FC Porto and Sean Dyche his first win as their new manager.
Following a draw and defeat in their opening two Europa League matches, the pressure was on Forest to win their first European game since 1995.
Dyche changed formation and his defence was rarely challenged by a Porto side who had won eight of their last nine matches in all competitions.
Forest were gifted a 19th minute opener when Jan Bednarek handled the ball inside the box and Gibbs-White dispatched the resulting penalty.
Bednarek thought he had redeemed himself after the break after netting from a rebound inside the Forest box. However, VAR disallowed the goal due to Samu being in an off-side position when his initial shot was saved.
The win was sealed 12 minutes from time when Nicolo Savona was fouled inside the box and Igor Jesus scored the resulting penalty.
Forest head to Bournemouth on Sunday before hosting mighty Manchester United the following weekend.

‘PERFORMANCE WAS UNBELIEVABLE,’ SAID ANTONIO
TNT Pundit Michail Antonio praised Forest for their performance.
He said: "That performance was unbelievable. When they lost the ball, the pressing that they did, you saw that was a team together. They felt rejuvenated.
"Everyone knew what they were doing. They weren't overly trying to play out the back, they were finding the striker and playing off, getting it wide and switching play.
"It was exciting. It seemed like they've been doing it for years and they have with Nuno. Dyche's come in and done the exact same thing."

‘I CAN FINALLY BREATH,’ SAID GIBBS-WHITE
Following his side’s win Gibbs-White told TNT Sports: "I feel like I can finally breathe.
"It's been a difficult couple of months here. You know, with all the change that's happened, the bad performances. It's happy to get our first win out of like, eight, nine games.
"It’s only been one game and we’ve only had a few training sessions (with Steve Dyche),
"You can feel the morale in the stadium and in the group. It feels a lot higher, more energetic and positive. That’s the way it needs to be and to stay like that for us to continue and push forward.
"That’s a credit to the manager, he has instilled that into us."

It is a vital victory in this season’s Europa League for Nottingham Forest. Sean Dyche has had an immediate impact with Forest keeping their first clean sheet in 20 matches.
Porto looked stunned after losing their long unbeaten record this season and will have to re-group in the competition.
