The German head coach has guided the Catalan giants to successive La Liga crowns since his arrival in the summer of 2024, wrapping up this season’s title with an El Clasico victory over fierce rivals Real Madrid.
As well as success in the league, Flick has also overseen two Spanish Super Cup triumphs and won a Copa del Rey.
Under the 61-year-old, Barcelona have once again established themselves as one of the most deadly attacking outfits in football.
A Barcelona statement praised Flick for the results he has been able to achieve, and the impact he has had in developing homegrown talent through La Masia.
It read: "FC Barcelona and Hansi Flick have reached an agreement to renew his contract, which will link him to the club until June 30, 2028, plus an optional year.
"In two seasons on the Blaugrana bench, he has already won five of the eight possible titles: two leagues, two Spanish Super Cups and a Copa del Rey. An extraordinary record that is even more valuable with an impeccable record in the domestic championship.

"This last League will be especially remembered. The Blaugrana team sealed it by defeating Real Madrid in a Clasico that is already part of history.
"But Flick's mark is not explained only by the results, [but] also by his confidence in the home talent. The German has made La Masia a fundamental part of the present and future of the team.
