Trabzonspor agree Mohamed Salah deal, Barcelona 'continues' pursuit of Julian Alvarez - Euro Transfer News

Trabzonspor have reportedly agreed a deal to bring Mohamed Salah to the club, according to Yagiz Sabuncuoglu. Sabuncuoglu wrote on X that the former Liverpool forward has agreed a two-year deal with the Turkish side.

Transfer journalist Sabuncuoglu also added that: "Approval of one of the clauses in the contract by Trabzonspor is awaited for the official signing."
The 34-year-old helped Egypt to the round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup where they were eliminated by eventual runners-up Argentina.
Salah had previously been linked to Besiktas but it now appears their Turkish rivals Trabzonspor are set to acquire his services.
Sabuncuoglu had previously reported that Trabzonspor had offered Salah a salary of €17 million (£14.6 million) when the club met with the player's representatives.
Barca still keen on Alvarez
Barcelona are continuing in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan club have long been linked with the 26-year-old, but Atletico have stressed they have no desire to sell the striker, in particular to a domestic rival.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Alvarez - who has a contract at Atletico until 2030 - "remains determined to leave" and "sign for Barca."
The report says that Barcelona believe signing Alvarez to be a "feasible" process, but that it could "take a long time, perhaps until the last two weeks of August."

Alvarez is scheduled to join up with Atletico for pre-season training next week having played a key role in helping Argentina reach the final of this year's World Cup.
Mundo Deportivo add that Alvarez is particularly admired by Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick and is the most highly-coveted forward on the market.
"The manager sees him as the ideal No. 9 due to his mobility, technique, versatility, and goal-scoring ability," the report said. "His work rate is also a key factor."
PSG step up pursuit of Torres
Paris Saint-Germain want to "speed up negotiations" this week over a potential move for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, according to Marca's Matteo Moretto.
"The French club is seeking to close the deal with Barca and believes the operation could be finalised quickly," Moretto said. "There is optimism on the part of the French club."
Torres is coming off a successful World Cup with Spain having scored the winner in the final to secure his nation's second world title.

And this summer, the 26-year-old has been linked to a possible move to two-time reigning European champions PSG as they seek to refresh their forward line.
When asked about a move this transfer window, Torres was honest about his hopes for the next few weeks.
"Barca needs to show that they love me, they can come negotiate, and in the end, everything will be discussed," he told Sportico.
"Every time these teams [PSG] want you, it's good. I have a contract, in the end, with Barca. It's true that in football, you never know what might happen, but the good side is that since I have a contract, I can wait and decide for myself."
Inter agree Romero deal
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur to sign defender Cristian Romero.
Romero had been linked with a move to Barcelona, but Inter look set to seal the deal.
It is reported that the fee will be around €40 million.
However, there is still work to be done between Inter and Romero's agents to finalise terms.
