Levante 1-4 Real Madrid - La Liga result as goals from Kylian Mbappe (2), Vinicius Junior and Franco Mastantuono continue Real's perfect start

Real Madrid continued their perfect start to the season, beating Levante 4-1 at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe (2), Vinicius Junior and Franco Mastantuono.

Xabi Alonso’s side have now won their opening six league matches, putting them five points ahead of second-placed Barcelona, who do have a game in hand.

Vinicius opened the scoring after 28 minutes for Los Blancos with a brilliant finish with the outside of his foot into the far corner.

Federico Valverde played the ball into Vinicius in the box and the Brazilian produced an outrageous finish to beat Maty Ryan, who he had forced into a smart save just moments before.

Levante had put pressure on Madrid in the opening 20 minutes, with Ivan Romero and Adrian de la Fuente both missing good chances to open the scoring.

However, Madrid gained control after their opener and Franco Mastantuono made it 2-0 with his first goal for the club.

The visitors countered quickly, with Vinicius finding Mastantuono in acres of space and the Argentine made no mistake with the finish.

Just like in the first half, Levante came flying out the traps at the start of the second and were rewarded, with Karl Etta Eyong heading home his fourth of the season to make it 2-1.

Real Madrid bounced back instantly through Mbappe, who scored a quickfire brace to end any hope of a Levante comeback.

Mbappe was brought down in the box for a penalty after 64 minutes and scored a cheeky Panenka for his sixth league goal of the season.

Just two minutes later, the former PSG forward had his second of the game and seventh of the season, latching on to a pass from Arda Guler, before rounding Maty Ryan to score.

Alonso’s side now face a trip to local rivals Atletico Madrid at the weekend, whilst Levante take on Getafe at Estadio Coliseum.
