The bronze medal the 2024 Paris Olympic football men's competition will be going to Africa with rivals Egypt and Morocco doing battle in Nantes. The Maghrebi rivals will look to get over the setbacks of their semi-final defeats to Spain and France respectively as they home to end their respective tournaments on a high.

The Egyptian midfielder can't repeat the trick on his second attempt as the ball flies over the top.

Morocco will deservedly lead at the break but Egypt have shown life in the latter stages here.
A couple of dangerous deliveries from the right have caused a few alarm bells in the Atlas Lions' defence, but it just hasn't quite fallen for The Pharaohs.

He's got a shout surely, although his country won't be taking home Gold, of course.
However, seven goals in six matches is an excellent output from Rahimi.

Saber takes aim from 35 yards but his effort is always rising and sizzles over the top.

A good spell ends with Adel seeing a 20-yarder well blocked just outside the area. The Pharaohs could do with pulling one back before the interval if they are to maintain realistic hopes of winning Bronze.

That's a beauty! Hakimi's cross from the right is met by Ezzalzouli, who plays a quick one-two before curling a sublime shot into the far corner from just inside the area.

There's been a bit of a lull after quite a fast-paced start. The Atlas Lions have had the majority of the ball in the past few moments without truly testing the Egypt backline.
16' - MOROCCO CHANCE!
Rahimi arrives on cue to meet a cut back from the right, but he can't make a firm first-time connection and it deflects kindly for the 'keeper to gather.

If he scores today, Morocco's Soufiane Rahimi will become the first player ever to net in six Olympic games in a row.

Zizo limps off and on comes Mostafa Saad.

Zizo immediately fell to the floor clutching his hamstring after letting fly with that shot.
He will surely have to be replaced.

Zizo races into the right channel and forces another decent stop out of Monir El Kajoui at his near post.

Both sides showing intent to be creative and attack when the opportunity arises.
It's a chance apiece so far - long may it continue.

A right-wing corner is pumped back into the mix where Osama Faisal is left free to force a smart save from Monir El Kajoui at his near post. The follow-up is then blocked by some desperate defending.
