Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Everton manager, leaving the Merseyside club after a five-match winless run. The Toffees are in 16th position in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone. Everton beat Peterborough 2-0 in the third round of the FA Cup on Thursday evening, where former and current full-backs Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman took interim charge.

Sean Dyche has been sacked as manager of Everton after almost two years in charge and just hours before The Toffees beat Peterborough United 2-0 in the FA Cup.
The news comes just two days after Dyche insisted the ownership "should be" searching for a successor.
The former Burnley boss was set to depart Everton in the summer at the expiry of his contract, but The Friedkin Group decided to pull the plug after a run of five games without a win.
In their announcement, the Merseyside club confirmed that former and current full-backs Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman would take interim charge until a permanent replacement is found.
A statement from the club read: "Everton Football Club can confirm that Sean Dyche has been relieved of his duties as Senior Men’s First Team Manager with immediate effect.
"The process to appoint a new manager is under way and an update will be provided in due course.
Baines entered Everton's age-group coaching set-up upon retirement in 2020 and was most recently the Under-18s head coach.
Along with Coleman, the former England international oversaw Everton's safe passage into the fourth round, thanks to goals from Beto and Iliman Ndiaye.
Several members of Dyche's backroom staff have also left the club, namely Ian Woan, Steve Stone, Mark Howard and Billy Mercer.
Everton currently occupy 16th position in the Premier League, sitting just one point above the relegation zone and four points behind Crystal Palace in 15th.

Since thrashing fellow strugglers Wolves 4-0 at the start of December, Dyche oversaw subsequent draws against Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City.
But disappointing defeats either side of New Year to Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth have seen Dyche removed.
In the 10 games since the start of November, Everton have scored five goals, with four of those coming against Wolves.
