KLUIVERT EQUALISER FRUSTRATES BLUES AS CHERRIES HOLD ON FOR DRAW
Bournemouth frustrated Enzo Maresca and Chelsea, as they came from behind to draw 2-2 at Stamford Bridge, putting in a resilient second-half defensive display.
The Cherries took the lead just six minutes in when an Antoine Semenyo long throw caused havoc. It was flicked on to David Brooks, who, after seeing his initial header saved, scrambled home the rebound from close range.
That advantage did not take long though, as VAR intervened to award a penalty for a trip on Estevao by Semenyo, meaning Cole Palmer could equalise from the penalty spot.
Brooks could then have fired the visitors back in front, but his miss proved costly when Enzo Fernandez danced past Alex Scott’s dangling challenge in the area and found the top corner to put The Blues in front.
Again, though, an equaliser was just around the corner, with another Semenyo long throw flicked on at the near post, and this time prodded home by Justin Kluivert.
After the excitement of the first half, the second was a much quieter affair, with Chelsea dominating but struggling to create chances.
Indeed, Bournemouth should have won it in injury time when Enes Unal fired over from close range, meaning they are now winless in ten, whereas Chelsea have one victory in their last seven league matches.

THE END FOR SEMENYO?
He is currently standing in front of the away end lapping up the chants from the travelling Bournemouth fans, before applauding them back. Is that his last dance for the club?

WHAT IT MEANS
That result means Chelsea missed out on the chance to move back into the Champions League places, and they could drop to seventh depending on results elsewhere.
As for Bournemouth; no win in ten, but a valuable draw moves them on to 23 points

WHAT A CHANCE FOR UNAL!
Bournemouth should win it! Adli sends a cross to Unal on the penalty spot. It's a delightful pass. Unal is in acres of space, but he sends his first-time finish over the bar!

FERNANDEZ FIRES OVER
He scored in the first half, but cannot repeat that trick on this occasion. Neto's cross is nodded straight to the Chelsea number eight, who, ten yards out, sets himself and then fires over the bar.

ESTEVAO GOES DOWN
Jimenez clips the Chelsea man as he tries to break into the area. The referee just points for a goal-kick, but it's very similar to the one that was awarded as a spot kick in the first half.
The saving grace for Bournemouth is that the initial contact appears outside of the area, so there's nothing VAR can do about it.
