FLEMMING NETS LATE HEADER TO STUN 10-MAN CHELSEA
Chelsea dropped vital points in their bid for a top four Premier League finish as Zian Flemming's late goal rescued Burnley a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Joao Pedro had given Liam Rosenior’s a fourth minute lead when he bundled home Pedro Neto’s inviting ball into the six-yard box.
Despite dominating the opening half Chelsea failed to create enough clear-cut opportunities.
The best of their chances fell to Cole Palmer, who was denied one-on-one by goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.
Rosenior’s side also dominated the second half but failed to test Dubravka’s goal with enough purposeful efforts.
Burnley were given a confidence boost with 17 minutes remaining when Wesley Fofana was shown a second yellow card for a late lunge on his opponent.
Chelsea sat deep and allowed Burnley to build momentum in the final 10 minutes of the tie,
Then in the third minute of injury-time James Ward-Prowse’s out-swinging corner was guided home by the head of Flemming.
Scott Parker’s visitors could have snatched all three points in the final moments, but Jacob Bruun Larsen could only steer his free header over.
The point moves Chelsea level on points with Manchester United in the fight for fourth place, with United travelling to Everton on Monday night.
Meanwhile, Burnley remain eight points from safety.

FLEMMING: ‘TEAM SHOWED GREAT RESILIENCE’
Zian Flemming felt that Burnley showed ‘great resilience to remain in the match, but was disappointed that they failed to find a winner in the dying seconds.
"I also feel some disappointed now, especially because we had that chance at the very end," said Flemming to Sky Sports.
"I think we can be proud of ourselves. I can't remember what minute the goal was (Pedro) in, but it felt like as if it was within one minute.
"The team showed great resilience. We stayed in the game until the very end. And then you can see that you can still make a nick a result here.
"We could have gone away with three points. We know that we need wins, three points not just one."

CHELSEA RUE POINTS DROPPED AT HOME
Liam Rosenior will be furious with his side for not winning this match. Chelsea had the chance to put pressure on Manchester United in the Premier League top four.
When Joao Pedro struck the early goal there only looked one winner in this match. However, the hosts failed to kill off Burnley with a second goal and it came back to bite them.
The visitors were boosted by Fofana’s unnecessary red card and then punished Chelsea with Flemming’s late header.
