HAALAND JOINS PREMIER LEAGUE 100 CLUB IN BONKERS NINE-GOAL THRILLER AT FULHAM
Erling Haaland became the fastest player to net 100 Premier League goals and Phil Foden grabbed another brace as Manchester City held off a Fulham fightback to win 5-4 and cut the gap to leaders Arsenal.
The visitors led early when Haaland rifled home a superb first-time finish on 17 minutes to reach the century milestone in just 111 games and beat Alan Shearer’s long-standing record by 13 matches.
The Norwegian then turned provider for Tijjani Reijnders to add a lovely second before Foden made it three with a fine strike on the stroke of half-time.
Emile Smith Rowe gave The Cottagers hope with a fine header seconds later, but Foden made it four goals in two matches with a clinical effort three minutes after the restart.
Jeremy Doku’s attempt then deflected in off Sander Berge for City’s fifth as the visitors threatened to run riot.
Alex Iwobi stunted the onslaught with Fulham’s second of the night courtesy of a superb first-time 22-yard strike before substitute Samuel Chukwueze added his own brace to give Marco Silva’s men real hope of an unlikely point.
Second-placed City rode their luck and survived some nervy moments in stoppage-time to move to within two points of Arsenal, who host Brentford on Wednesday. Fulham are down in 15th spot as their losing streak against The Cityzens continued.
Next up, City host Sunderland on Saturday. Fulham are at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

ERLING HAALAND REACTS TO BECOMING FASTEST MAN TO 100 PL GOALS
"Yeah, it’s huge. I’m really proud and, yeah, of course, it’s a massive thing and the 100 club is a nice thing to be in - and I’m happy," he said on Sky Sports.
"I knew about this (record) and that’s what I try to do. I try to help the team by scoring goals and that’s my job."
On a rollercoaster 5-4 win, he said: "Yeah, I think if you are sitting at home now, you are enjoying that, it was a chaos game. Nine goals in a game is a lot, but in the end we win and we are happy, but it’s not the best game (performance), no (from City)?"

CHRIS SUTTON REACTS TO MAN CITY’S WIN AND HAALAND’S MILESTONE
"That game was absolutely nuts. City get themselves into a 5-1 lead and then you think (it could be anything)…" said Sutton while summarising on Sky Sports.
"Fulham (were) throwing bodies forward and they went for it. And then there’s a debate, was that naïve? (No) it was brilliant. All of a sudden they get themselves back at 5-4. They are the team pressing and pushing.
"Manchester City (were) so, so passive in that second half.
"A big three points for Manchester City, of course, they close the gap to Arsenal to just two now, but Fulham certainly played their part in this game. So much bravery and abandon in that second half and so unlucky at the end there with Gvardiol off the line from Josh King.
"All smiles from Erling Haaland but things could have been different."
