SUMMERVILLE GIVES WEST HAM CRUCIAL WIN IN RELEGATION BATTLE
Crysencio Summerville's second-half finish gave West Ham a nervy 1-0 win at Fulham to boost their chances of Premier League survival.
Both sides went on the attack in the first half but lacked quality in the final third to create any chances of note.
Alex Iwobi was fortunate to get away with a handball in the box after the referee and VAR deemed the ball hit high up enough on his shirt sleeve to opt against giving a penalty.
Mateus Fernandes was perhaps even more fortunate to remain on the pitch in the closing minutes of the half, bringing down King on the edge of the box having already been booked.

West Ham started the second half with gusto, with Thomas Soucek forcing Bernd Leno into a strong save after a powerful header from a corner.
Five minutes later, Fulham thought they had a penalty when Tito Castellanos brought down Tom Cairney but VAR deemed the contact was accidental so the decision was reversed.
In a tight match, it took an error to break the deadlock, as a miscommunication between Leno and Issa Diop allowed Summerville to pounce and he kept his composure to pass into an empty net.
Fulham lacked the cutting edge to ever threaten a late equaliser, allowing West Ham to move level on points with 17th-placed Nottingham Forest, while Fulham lie 10th, three points off a potential European spot.

Great save from Hermansen!

GOAL! FULHAM 0-1 WEST HAM (SUMMERVILLE)
Oh Bernd Leno what have you done?!
There's a miscommunication between Diop and Leno, and the latter gets stranded in no-man's land.
The ball falls for Summerville, who keeps his cool, gets an opening and curls into the bottom corner and Diop on the line can do nothing about it.
A huge goal in the fight for survival.
