MAN CITY'S TITLE HOPES DENTED BY TRICKY TREES
Second-half stunners from Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson guided Nottingham Forest to a 2-2 draw against Manchester City on Wednesday, denting the title hopes of Pep Guardiola's side.
City were largely in control throughout the evening but two spectacular goals - Gibbs-White backheeling beyond Gianluigi Donnarumma before Anderson struck a beauty from range - saw City slip seven points behind leaders Arsenal, who won 1-0 at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Antoine Semenyo scored his fifth Premier League goal since joining City in January to give his side the lead on 31 minutes. He instinctively threw his left foot up to volley beyond Matz Sels from Rayan Cherki's cross.
City limited Forest to single-digit possession figures at the start of the second half, but the visitors levelled when Gibbs-White latched onto Igor Jesus' knockdown in the box to squirm an excellent backheel past the legs of Donnarumma.
Guardiola's side restored their lead within six minutes as Rodri nodded home from a corner, with Forest aggrieved the goal stood after what they felt was a foul within the sea of bodies.
But they ultimately converted their frustration into an equaliser. Anderson played a sharp one-two with Callum Hudson-Odoi before letting fly from distance, curling into the far corner and giving Donnarumma no chance in goal.

City pushed for the winner but Forest's rigid back five and superb last-ditch defending saw them cling on.
They somehow preserved their point when Bernardo Silva found himself on his left foot with only Sels to beat in the final seconds. Anderson, though, charged back to get a crucial block in, before Murillo was on the goalline to deny Savinho from the follow-up.
The point means Forest stay above the relegation zone on goal difference after West Ham's win against Fulham. Tottenham Hotspur, who play Crystal Palace tomorrow night live on TNT Sports and discovery+, are only a point ahead of their two relegation rivals.

TNT Sports expert Joleon Lescott: "Forest found a way. City were always in control of the game. They were never really under threat. But unlike the first half, Forest were very efficient in the second.

We'll have to wait and see whether that point is enough for City to compete with Arsenal for the league. Tonight it might not feel like that with the gap stretching to seven points. On the result: "It was massive. We've had a bit of a poor run but we knew coming here we'd have to fight because they're a tough side. We've dug out a point from being behind and we're really happy.

Rodri's cross is headed out by Aina, but only as far as Doku on the edge of the box, who does really well to slip Silva in.
He is just 10 yards out, on his left foot with only Sels to beat, but a stunning last-ditch block from Anderson denies him.
Still, it comes out to Savinho who fires towards goal. But Murillo is perfectly-placed on the line to boot it away, and England blows his whistle for full-time.

City are pushing, but they look susceptible when possession is overturned.
