Manchester United 1-1 Wolves result - Ladislav Krejci earns visitors third point of season to hold Man Utd at Old Trafford

Ladislav Krejci cancelled out Joshua Zirkzee’s opener to end Wolves’s 11-match losing streak in the Premier League as Manchester United were frustrated at home once more.

It was a pedestrian start from both sides and Wolves began to threaten an opener before they were hit by a sucker punch.

Ayden Heaven’s mazy run ended with the ball falling to the feet of Zirkzee, whose shot took a huge deflection off Krejci and wrong-footed Jose Sa.

However, Krejci made amends on the brink of half-time, profiting from Zirkzee’s miscued clearance from a corner to guide a header past Senne Lammens.

United started the second period strongly, but were nearly gifted the lead once more when Yerson Mosquera headed the ball past Sa, but the goalkeeper scrambled back to claw it off the line.

Mosquera came close at the other end, but was denied by an impressive Lammens save as the game grew scrappy.

Patrick Dorgu thought he had bagged a late winner after he pounced on Benjamin Sesko’s rebounded shot, but he was offside and so the points were shared.

Despite the draw, Wolves are still 15 points from safety, while United missed the chance to go fourth with a win, as rivals Chelsea were also held by Bournemouth.

Elsewhere, Arsenal have just wrapped up a statement win over title rivals Aston Villa. Over to you, Pep.

Like United, Chelsea have lost ground on the top teams after being held by Bournemouth while Newcastle survived a Burnley barrage to take all three points.

Everton cruised past Forest to improve their European chances while West Ham and Brighton shared the points in a match with three penalties.

Wolves have finally stopped the rot, and they have done it at Old Trafford of all places.

They move onto three points, while United miss out on the chance to move fourth.

One more substitution before it goes in. David Moller Wolfe replaces Arias.

It's a terrible corner and Cunha gathers it, looking to break, but Strand-Larsen hauls him down for a deserved yellow.

United push forward. Now or never.

And it goes out for a goal kick.

Shaw bends one in to Dalot and Bueno puts it behind for a corner. Wolves scramble it behind for another one, which is eventually put into Row Z by Fletcher.

Can Wolves get a winner now? They get a corner...

Has Dorgu found the winner here? Sesko finds space to shoot, but Sa parries it straight to Dorgu who fires home!

It won't stand though, as Dorgu was offside, and this will be overturned. Don't know why it's taking so long.

It is offside and there will be five minutes added on.

Hwang is down now and Wolves put it out. They didn't want to, they have been ticking along nicely recently.

It looks like just cramp, but Edwards doesn't want to take any risks and replaces him with Fer Lopez.

United are wobbling a little bit here. Mosquera changes his mind about taking a long throw at the last second and ends up conceding a foul throw!

Shaw finds Sesko with a cross, but again, Sesko can't make Sa work.

Cunha then tries to find Sesko, but Sa comes out to intercept the ground cross.

Thatchoua uses his pace to break on the counter and squares it to Arias on the edge of the box. The Colombian's deflected shot goes just wide for a corner.

United eventually clear it with Sesko. This match could go either way, both sides are desperate for a win.

It's getting scrappy now. Cunha dispossesses Hwang before he too is dispossessed. Both players felt they were fouled.

Dalot nearly commits a handball after miscontrolling a cross, but gets away with it.

Wolves try a counter, but referee Thomas Bramall intercepts the pass. What a touch!

Doherty has tweaked his knee, so will not be on to defend this corner. Cunha puts a delivery goalwards, and Sa needs three attempts to punch it away but it is third time lucky.

United are all over Wolves now, but still lacking that star quality in the final third.

Leny Yoro and 17-year-old debutant Bendito Mantato are on for United, replacing Heaven and Ugarte. Odd.

Ugarte tries his luck from 25 yards out but it is straight as Sa. Amorim has seen enough and is readying some changes.

Dalot launches a long throw, but it is headed straight back out. Rinse and repeat.

United manage to keep hold of the ball, and eventually Dorgu forces a corner.

How has that not gone in?

Wolves cause chaos when Doherty flicks on a cross and Krejci forces a decent save from Lammens.

Mosquera then tries to follow up, but Lammens gets there just before the defender to prevent a certain goal.

Arokodare is replaced by Jorgen Strand-Larsen.

Wolves come forward once more and Hugo Bueno wins a corner. He has been Wolves's best player tonight.

They try and take it short, but fall for the offside trap.

United slowly build up at the other end, before Shaw crosses. After a bit of confusion, Sa finally claims and makes sure he gets rid of the ball in time this time.

The final whistle has gone in all of the early kick-offs but there is a big development at the Emirates...

Cunha tries a volley from the edge of the box but blazes it over against his former side. Still just half-chances for the hosts.

Casemiro then plays an outside-of-the-boot cross towards Sesko who drifts in behind the Wolves defence but heads it straight at Sa!

Here's a fun one. Sa has just conceded a corner for holding onto the ball for too long.

Wolves have an early chance to counter, but Mane's ball to Arokodare is too slow.

Just like in the first period, Wolves look settled on the ball.
