WEST HAM ON RELEGATION BRINK AFTER DEFEAT
A William Osula double helped Newcastle United to a 3-1 victory against West Ham United, increasing their chances of Premier League relegation.
The Hammers came into the game knowing that they needed three points to put pressure on London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the relegation battle.
However, The Magpies took just 15 minutes to unlock their defence, as Harvey Barnes intercepted a pass and crossed for Nick Woltemade to volley home.

Four minutes later, Newcastle doubled their lead after Jacob Ramsey found the run of Osula to put his side out of sight.
Nuno Espirito Santo turned to his bench for inspiration and found it in the form of Argentine forward Taty Castellanos.
Moments after coming on Castellanos forced Nick Pope into a close-range save.
West Ham became increasingly desperate for a way back into the game and were cut open again, resulting in Osula putting Newcastle three goals ahead after 65 minutes.

Four minutes later, Castellanos stunned St James’ Park with a wonderful strike which gave West Ham fresh hope.
Pope was again on hand to deny former team-mate Callum Wilson, before Castellanos fired over from close range.

West Ham’s defeat means that a win for Tottenham against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge would confirm West Ham's relegation to the Championship.
Newcastle are one of six teams who could sneak a top-eight finish next weekend and secure European football next season.
