Wolves v Crystal Palace RESULT - Premier League latest as Daniel Munoz and Yeremy Pino put the Eagles ahead 2-0 to beat Wolves at Molineux

It was a debut to forget for Rob Edwards as Crystal Palace took a sensational 2-0 win against Wolves at Molineux to raise themselves fourth in the league.

Daniel Munoz and Yeremy Pino scored two brilliant goals that swamped any hopes of Wolves' first clean sheet this season.

It was scoreless in the first half despite some good opportunities from both teams. Palace were the first to get a big break as Mateta received a through ball in clean air, but he just couldn’t get the touch right as his shot skewed wide. Wolves then played a bold free kick as Henderson was nearly caught out by Gomes’s ball as it deflected off an Eagle.

As they neared halftime, the teams got increasingly aggressive, with a handful of half chances each. But it would be 0-0 as they headed into the break.

Coming back, Wolves looked the better as the Eagles seemed to struggle to get it together in the final third. But it would be Munoz off a set piece who scored first for Palace, the ball dropped kindly in front of him and he snapped up the chance to put it into the roof of the net. 

Just minutes later, Pino would compound Edwards’ misery as he picked up the ball at the edge of the box, curling a screamer off the cross bar and into the net to go two up.

The goals seemed to take the wind out of the Wolves’ sails as they could muster nothing substantial against Dean Henderson and a tight Palace defense.

Wolves continue to sit at the bottom of the league, while as it stands, Palace jump to fourth in the table.

Wolves can't seem to break through Palace's defense, they haven't had a single attempt on target in this half of the match.

Hwang tries to send one in low but Lacroix was in the way. That was the last attempt as the whistle blows and the fans start trickling out of the stadium.

Glasner swaps Wharton for Will Hughes.

What can Wolves do in five minutes? It looks all but over as Rob Edwards' debut match in charge seems destined to end in a loss.

The free kick goes across to Nketiah, who curls it above the cross bar. Regulation time is trickling down and all they have been doing in the last few minutes is defending against Palace.

Run up now for Mitchell, his pass goes right and Toti tries to kick it out but Munoz comes out of nowhere and slides into the Wolves player's kick. It's ruled a free kick instead of a penalty, but dangerous nonetheless.

Moller Wolfe comes off for Hugo Bueno.

Kamada and Pino are replaced by Jefferson Lerma and Justin Devenny.

Richards looks to be struggling and he also comes off now as Jaydee Convot will play in his stead.

Andre on the run now, out to Arias, pops it to the middle for Strand Larsen and it finds Moller Wolfe, he nearly slides it through the players but it's a good block from Lacroix!

A disappointing miss for Wolves as Moller Wolfe sends a pass in front of goal, Strand Larsen is there waiting but Arias comes in ahead to steal the shot and it's a bad miss off to the left as he fumbles! So close to 1-2 if he could have gotten that clean.

Wharton found Nketiah with ease, nearly finds Pino again right in front of goal but it is cleared to the relief of the fans.

Krejci now comes off for Jhon Arias.

Wolves try to bring the ball out of the box but Wharton intercepts, it goes to Pino at the edge of the box and it's sensational off the crossbar and into the net.

Oliver Glasner nearly slips in the icy grass in his rush to celebrate!

Munoz gets booked for his celebration but it doesn't matter as he will be delighted with his goal.

Hwang Hee-Chan and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde come on for Wolves in place of Munetsi and Arokodare.

Wolves are looking better in this second half, Nketiah tries to make a break for it and Toti takes it off him.

Kamada on the corner, short to Pino and then to Wharton who shoots to pull a dive from Johnstone! The ball doesn't get to the keeper and gets lost in a pack of players, Munoz finds it while Johnstone is displaced and he makes it!

They are looking for a potential offside now.

Pino gets booked now and Palace will make a substitution. Mateta comes off for Eddie Nketiah

A chance from Munetsi, Tchatchoua just loses his balance at the wrong time and he goes down in the box as he is hounded by Guehi.

Diagonal pass from Wharton, Pino crosses it in and it finds Sarr, but it's yet another ball over the bar to Glasner's dismay!

Arokodare fouls again, this time on Kamada as he just catches his shins. He needs to be careful now or Edwards will find himself with only ten men on the pitch.

A silly yellow for Arokodare who pulls Wharton back. It's a booking apiece for both teams.

It's a nice break for Wolves, Munetsi tries to give it to Strand Larsen but it's intercepted. It goes back out to Moller Wolfe but Guehi throws himself in the path of his shot.

The corner comes in and it's a scramble in the box, another attempt this time off a rebound by Munetsi, it doesn't drop enough and its clear over the cross bar!

45 minutes left on the clock, could we see a clean sheet for Edwards' debut game in charge?

Not much comes out of the one added minute and both teams will try to keep up that fighting spirit over the half-time break. There have been big opportunities on either side, who will be the first to score?
