Manchester City complete Tijjani Reijnders signing on five-year deal

Manchester City have signed midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan in a deal reportedly worth £46.5m. The Netherlands international was named Serie A Midfielder of the Season after scoring 10 league goals for the Rossoneri in 2024/25. His arrival comes shortly before City start their bid for the FIFA Club World Cup title in the United States this summer.

Manchester City have completed the signing of central midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan on a five-year deal.
The Netherlands international impressed during a difficult season for Milan, scoring 15 goals in all competitions and winning the Serie A Best Midfielder award.
He is City's fourth summer signing after Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki, and will be available to play at the Club World Cup.
"I am ecstatic to be signing for Manchester City," said Reijnders, who has reportedly cost £46.5m.
"City are one of the biggest teams in the world, with the best coach, world-class players and outstanding facilities. Under Pep Guardiola, City have won so many titles, and I want to help keep that going with a lot more success in the coming years.
"It is also a dream come true to play in the Premier League. This league has seen many of the best Dutch players perform through the years and it’s an inspiration to follow in their footsteps. "
Reijnders spent two seasons at San Siro after joining from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2023.

He made his senior international debut in 2023 and played all six games at Euro 2024 as the Netherlands reached the semi-finals.
Reijnders, 26, proved particularly dangerous breaking forward from midfield last season with runs into the box, with eight of his 10 league goals coming from inside the area.
Man City are refreshing their squad after a season without any major silverware.
They finished third in the Premier League, were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by Real Madrid, and lost to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.
Pep Guardiola's team are set to compete at the FIFA Club World Cup. The newly revamped tournament, featuring 32 club sides from across the globe, gets under way in the United States on Sunday.
City are up against Al Ain, Wydad AC and Juventus in Group G, with their opening match coming against Moroccan side Wydad next Wednesday.
