Manchester United have confirmed the bumper signing of forward Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. The Cameroon international was one of the most impressive performers of the season after he scored 20 goals in the Premier League. Mbeumo follows Matheus Cunha's arrival from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the forward ranks at Old Trafford.

Manchester United have announced the signing of forward Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford on a five-year contract, with an option for a further 12 months.
The forward was one of Brentford’s standout players in the Premier League as he scored 20 goals during the 2024/25 campaign, the first time he reached double figures in the division.
He reportedly turned down other offers, including a reunion with Thomas Frank at Tottenham Hotspur, in order to join United in a deal said to be worth up to £71m.
"As soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United, I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams; the team whose shirt I wore growing up," Mbeumo told United's official site.
"My mentality is to always be better than I was yesterday. I know that I have the spirit and character to reach another level here, learning from Ruben Amorim and playing alongside world-class players.
"Everybody told me about the environment that is being created here and how exciting the plans are for the future. This is a massive club, with an incredible stadium and amazing fans, we are all really determined to challenge for the biggest trophies."

Mbeumo is the latest addition to United's squad following the club's lowest finish in the Premier League era (15th). United also struggled in front of goal during the 2024/25 campaign, notching 44 league goals, the second-lowest of any non-relegated team.
He joins Matheus Cunha in a bolstered frontline, following the Brazil forward's £62.5m move to Old Trafford in June.
Jason Wilcox, United's director of football, said: "Bryan’s goals and assists record in the Premier League is exceptional, his remarkable consistency has put him amongst the most productive players in England for the last three seasons.

"Bryan’s belief in our project and determination to join the club confirmed that he was the perfect fit for Manchester United and the culture that we are developing.
"We are delighted to have secured another one of our primary targets ahead of the pre-season tour. The experience in the US will be the perfect opportunity for Bryan to work with Ruben and his new team-mates as we prepare for an exciting season ahead."
Mbeumo, who scored 70 goals and assisted 51 in 242 matches for Brentford after joining from French side Troyes in 2019, arrives at Old Trafford after out-of-favour forward Marcus Rashford reportedly passed his medical with Barcelona ahead of a proposed loan move.
United travel to the United States later this month with friendlies against West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton in the Premier League Summer Series.
