In Friday's Euro Transfer News, Bayern Munich have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Malick Thiaw, and Pape Gueye has been linked with Manchester United. That is not all, though. Galatasaray will apparently have to pay Napoli up to €70 million if they sell Victor Osimhen to an Italian side, and Juventus are considering offering Dusan Vlahovic a contract extension.

Bayern pull out of race to sign Thiaw

German giants Bayern Munich will reportedly only try to sign Newcastle United defender Malick Thiaw if Kim Min-jae leaves the club in the summer.

BayernInsider have been told that the club currently feel they have enough options in the heart of their defence.

Thiaw has played a key role for The Magpies during the 2025/26 campaign, making 40 appearances across all competitions and scoring five goals.

His performances have helped Eddie Howe’s side into the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League, where they will play Barcelona.

"The reigning Bundesliga champions currently have a full complement in the heart of defence between Jonathan Tah, Dayot Upamecano, Hiroki Ito, and Kim Min-jae," reads the article.

"Vincent Kompany’s men would only consider adding to the ranks if one of that quartet were to depart in the summer transfer window.

"Bayern do appreciate Thiaw as a quality defensive option, however, a move for the German (or any alternative for that matter) will depend on Min-jae leaving at the end of the season."

Gueye linked with Man Utd move

French outlet Foot Mercato are reporting that Manchester United are interested in signing Senegal’s Africa Cup of Nations hero, Pape Gueye, from Spanish club Villarreal.

Gueye scored a superb winner to help his side beat Morocco 1-0 in the final of AFCON in January, and has also found the back of the net three times in 19 La Liga appearances this term.

The 27-year-old is expected to play a key role in Senegal’s FIFA World Cup campaign in Canada, Mexico and the USA this summer.

Foot Mercato believe that the tournament will be the perfect opportunity for Gueye to show The Red Devils what he can do.

"And although he managed to keep him at Villarreal this winter, it's not certain that Marcelino can work miracles again this summer," reads the article.

"After a World Cup where he'll have even more opportunities to showcase his talent with Senegal, Gueye could very well be on his way out.

"Under contract with the Spanish club until 2028, Gueye is attracting a lot of interest, including from Manchester United, according to our sources.

"Clearly possessing the qualities to succeed in England, the reigning African champion is highly regarded by The Red Devils, who could make a very tempting offer this summer."

Unique clause puts Osimhen’s return to Italy on ice

Galatasaray will have to pay Napoli up to €70 million if they sell Victor Osimhen to an Italian club due to a unique clause in his contract, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Osimhen was linked with a move to several Italian sides prior to swapping Naples for Istanbul on a permanent basis last summer.

The striker has already been linked with a sensational return to Serie A with Juventus, despite having produced 16 goals and five assists for the Turkish club this term.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport say that a clause in the 27-year-old’s contract means Galatasaray will pay a hefty price if they were to proceed with such a deal.

"The incredible clause lasts 24 months (the player would only be free starting September 1, 2027) and is worth €70 million for the first year and €50 million for the second," read the article.

"If Galatasaray were to sell the player to Juventus or another Italian club, they would have to pay the penalty to Napoli, in addition to having to monitor their own accounts after having invested €75 million, with [Aurelio] De Laurentiis' club having the option of increasing the proceeds with 10% of the resale price."

Juve open to new Vlahovic contract

Juventus are considering offering Dusan Vlahovic a contract extension amid reports linking him with their Serie A rivals AC Milan.

Vlahovic arrived in Italy from Frankfurt with a big reputation in January 2022, after impressing with Fiorentina.

He has failed to hit the same lofty heights with Juve, scoring three goals in 13 Serie A appearances this term, and in recent weeks he has been linked with a move to Milan.

However, Corriere dello Sport, via MilanPress, are saying that Vlahovic could stay in Turin.

"Juventus are planning for the future, and among the open issues is one related to Dusan Vlahovic," reads an article on the Italian website MilanPress.

"According to today's edition of Il Corriere dello Sport, a meeting between the parties is scheduled: they will proceed with great caution, but a glimmer of hope has been created.

"Before his injury, Luciano Spalletti had put him back at the centre of the coaching project, revitalising him and restoring his central role in the Juventus attack.

"This confidence may have changed the situation. Vlahovic, with his professionalism and sense of belonging, has impressed the Turin club since the summer.

"These are important signs, prompting the management to assess the extent to which they can continue working together."
