Liverpool will have to pay Bournemouth over £75 million to land Antoine Semenyo, claims the Mail.

Recent reports have suggested The Reds are tempted to make a move for the Ghana international as soon as January due to the poor form of Mohamed Salah, who was dropped for Wednesday's victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League.

The Mail states: "Bournemouth would demand north of £75 million for in-form Antoine Semenyo, according to sources, with Liverpool and others said to be keeping tabs on the Ghana international.

"Interest is not advanced at this stage but Liverpool Confidential has spoken to insiders who insist the Premier League champions are one of several clubs closely monitoring the 25-year-old forward.

"Bournemouth would be extremely reluctant to entertain a conversation around selling Semenyo in January and any move would likely be slated for next summer.

"But sources have told Confidential that £75m is around the figure Bournemouth would be looking for in the summer – though this could change if Semenyo continues in the rich vein of form he is in, with six goals and three assists in eight league games this season."

Zirkzee wants Man Utd exit

Joshua Zirkzee is set to leave Manchester United in January, reports the Mirror.

The forward has reportedly grown frustrated, having made just four appearances so far this season.

He wants to move to boost his chances of making next summer’s World Cup in North America with the Netherlands.

The article reads: "Joshua Zirkzee will ask to leave Manchester United in the next transfer window. And West Ham are leading the chase to offer the Dutch international an escape from his Old Trafford nightmare.

"United boss Ruben Amorim has decided Zirkzee will not be part of his long-term plans, while Zirkzee's situation has been made worse by the summer signings of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko.

"Zirkzee has fallen down the pecking order, and knows he has to leave United in a bid to revive his flagging career. It's understood United bosses will listen to offers for Zirkzee in the January transfer window.

"Another option is for Zirkzee to join another club on-loan for the rest of the season, with a view to making the move permanent. Zirkzee is concerned his lack of first team action will ruin his hopes of going to the World Cup with the Netherlands."

Chelsea enter Upamecano race

Chelsea are considering a move for Bayern Munich's Dayot Upamecano, who is out of contract in the summer.

Liverpool have also been linked with the defender, whose future is uncertain despite starting all but one of Bayern's league matches so far this season.

The Metro writes: "Chelsea are reportedly mulling over a transfer move for Dayot Upamecano as uncertainty grows over the defender’s future at Bayern Munich.

"Upamecano’s current contract at the Allianz Arena is due to expire at the end of the 2025/26 campaign and discussions over a possible renewal have stalled.

"According to German newspaper Bild, the ‘game of poker’ between Upamecano’s camp and Bayern has been ‘dragging on for months’ and there is currently little sign of any progress on the horizon.

"Upamecano is said to be ‘comfortable’ in Munich and Bayern are arguing that this is largely down to the ‘support’ they offered the centre-back during some of his more challenging times in the team.

"However, it’s claimed Upamecano’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, ‘knows the market inside out’ and is aware of growing interest from some of Europe’s elite clubs, namely Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Liverpool and Chelsea.

"Upamecano is one of a number of centre-backs believed to be on Chelsea’s shortlist of targets, which also includes the likes of Nottingham Forest’s Murillo and Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi."
