Chelsea set to complete Garnacho deal
Chelsea are closing in on a deal to sign Manchester United’s unsettled winger Alejandro Garnacho,
The 21-year-old has been expected to move to Stamford Bridge, and the move is almost agreed according to reports.
The Mirror writes: "Chelsea are finally set to offer Alejandro Garnacho a Manchester United escape route. Garnacho, 21, has little future at Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim.
"Chelsea have been linked with him all summer and with just a few days of the transfer window to go, the Blues are edging towards a deal. Chelsea are close to an agreement with United that will see them pay between ÂŁ35-ÂŁ40m for the Argentine forward.
"The Red Devils had initially benchmarked his price against the ÂŁ50m that Arsenal paid for Noni Madueke earlier this summer. Should the move go through as expected, it will bring an end to a five-year spell at Old Trafford for Garnacho."
Spurs could steal Simons
Chelsea’s dithering over the signing of RB Leipzig Xavi Simons could cost them, according to The Sun.
The delay means that Tottenham could make a move for the 22-year-old attacker.
The Sun states: "Chelsea stalling on a deal for Xavi Simons could open the door for Tottenham to make a late swoop.
"RB Leipzig star Simons, 22, had been expected to move to Stamford Bridge by now after a summer-long pursuit.
"But a deal still has not been done as deadline day inches closer- with suggestions The Blues need to sell more players to finance it - and there are now genuine doubts whether one will be concluded in time.
"Spurs have been looking for a new No. 10 throughout the close-season, famously missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze.
"SunSport understands there is some interest from the North Londoners in Simons, whom Leipzig are open to selling this month."
AC Milan want Nkunku
Serie A side AC Milan are considering a move for Chelsea’s forward Christopher Nkunku.
The Italians are keen on the Frenchman, who is also being pursued by Bayern Munich.
The Athletic explains: "AC Milan are exploring a move for Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku.
"There is club-to-club contact for Nkunku, who has also been the subject of interest from Bayern Munich and his former club RB Leipzig, as reported by The Athletic earlier this month, alongside Premier League sides.
"The forward has been expected to leave Chelsea this summer and was left out of Enzo Maresca’s matchday squads for this season’s opening two Premier League matches against Crystal Palace and West Ham United."
Betis closing in on Antony
Real Betis are expecting to sign Manchester United’s Brazilian winger Antony in the coming days.
The Spanish side are reportedly hoping to take him on loan for at least the next season.
The Daily Mail reports: "Real Betis are increasingly confident of finding agreement with Manchester United over a loan for Antony.Â
"Antony enjoyed a productive loan spell at Betis in the second half of last season.
"The winger has been frozen out at United under Ruben Amorim and is part of the club's 'bomb squad' along with Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia."
