Roma could sanction Ndicka-Zirkzee swap

There are reports that AS Roma may allow Evan Ndicka to leave the club in order to push through a deal to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United.
Sport Witness cites a report from ASRomaLive, which states that United have made an initial approach regarding the Ivorian defender.
United boss Ruben Amorim is said to be keen on bolstering his squad with a left-sided central defender, with Ndicka fitting the bill.
The Sport Witness report states: "It is suggested that Manchester United could ask for Ndicka in exchange for Zirkzee, when Roma sign the Dutchman permanently.
"The Giallorossi are working on an initial loan deal with a conditional obligation buy for the striker. They would obviously pay the loan fee but instead of asking for cash, Amorim’s side can float the idea of sending Ndicka to Manchester next summer.
"The 26-year-old joined on a free transfer in 2023 after his contract at Eintracht Frankfurt expired. His deal at the Olimpico expires in 2028 but Roma will make a big capital gain, if they sell him between 2026 and 2027."

Goretzka keen on Barcelona move

Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is reportedly keen on joining Barcelona next season.
The 30-year-old is set to leave the Allianz Arena at the expiration of his contract this summer, and would be keen on playing under Hansi Flick again.
Talks between Goretzka and Bayern regarding a new deal have apparently stalled, meaning an exit is looking increasingly likely.
A report from Mundo Deportivo read: "Leon Goretzka hasn't forgotten his time at Bayern Munich with Hansi Flick.
"The German player had an important role in the German team under the current Barcelona coach and has always been an admirer of his.

"With six months left on his contract, and considering that Bayern isn't very keen on renewing it, Goretzka is already looking at where he might go if he doesn't extend his contract with his current club.
"And just in case, he's already sent a message to Flick letting him know that he would be delighted to play under him again."
The same report suggests that Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Napoli and Juventus are all monitoring Goretzka's situation.

Betis keen on Ferguson loan

Evan Ferguson could be set for his second temporary move away from the Amex, with Real Betis credited with an interest in the Brighton & Hove Albion striker.
A report from Estadio Deportivo via Football Espana claims that the Liga outfit are keen on signing a forward this month, providing additional cover for Cucho Hernandez.
It is understood that Borussia Dortmund striker Fabio Silva is their first choice, but may turn their attention to Ferguson.
The report reads: "Betis were interested in signing Ferguson in the summer, but in the end, he made the move to AS Roma. However, his loan spell in Rome has not worked out, and he is set to have his time in the Serie A cut short in order for a new destination to be found.

"For the time being, Betis are counting on Silva, but they may need to move on. Borussia Dortmund are not prepared to accept any loan offers, with a transfer being the only way for the Portuguese to leave the Bundesliga giants. This would not suit Los Verdiblancos, who will only consider a temporary arrangement during the winter window.
"In this regard, Ferguson could soon come to the fore, given that Brighton would be prepared to sanction a second loan move for the Ireland international. The 21-year-old has struggled to reach his best level in recent seasons, but a move to Andalusia could allow him to get his career back on the right track."

Cancelo is Inter's top target

Joao Cancelo is Internazionale's top target in January, and are eager to complete a deal as soon as possible.
A report from La Gazzetta dello Sport via Get Football News Italy claims that the Nerazzurri have been in ongoing talks with Cancelo's agent Jorge Mendes over a proposed deal.
It is claimed that the 31-year-old's wages could be a potential stumbling block, with the Portugal international earning €15 million at Al-Hilal.
The report reads: "While the desire for a reunion is mutual, the operation remains complex due to the player’s €15 million annual salary at Al-Hilal. Inter are pushing for a loan deal and will require the Saudi club to subsidise a significant portion of his wages to make the move viable.
"By moving aggressively now, Inter also hope to fend off competition from other European giants like Barcelona and Benfica, who are also monitoring the situation following Cancelo’s high-profile fallout with Simone Inzaghi in Riyadh.
"For [Cristian] Chivu, the arrival of the experienced Portuguese international would be a massive boost, offering tactical flexibility and immediate reliability during Denzel Dumfries’ continued absence."

Lazio want Ajax full-back

Lazio are keen on signing Ajax full-back Anton Gaaei.
The Biancocelesti could not make any signings last summer due to a transfer ban, but are now keen on signing the Danish defender.
The Laziali.com cites a report from Tipsbladet, which claims that the Serie A side have already made contact with the 23-year-old's representatives.
The report read: "Lazio are serious about signing Gaaei, having recently made contact with the player’s entourage. However, the source reveals competition from Paris FC, a rising powerhouse in French football backed by the Arnault family and the Red Bull group.

"The Aquile will likely need a new right-back next summer, as their three current options are all on the wrong side of 30. Adam Marusic remains Maurizio Sarri’s undisputed first choice for the role, but the management hasn’t been able to reach an agreement with the Montenegrin veteran on a new contract, which could see the latter leave the club on a free transfer next summer.
"But while Lazio’s interest in Gaaei has been confirmed by several sources in Italy and beyond, bolstering the right-back role is not considered a priority in January, as Sarri has more urgent needs, especially in midfield and attack. Therefore, the Danish full-back’s arrival would be more plausible in the summer."
