Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is an Everton player after completing a move from Chelsea. The 26-year-old midfielder, who began his career at Leicester, joins David Moyes' Toffees for an undisclosed fee. Dewsbury-Hall made 31 appearances for Chelsea last season - 13 of which came in the UEFA Conference League - having joined the club from Leicester in the summer.

Everton have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall for an undisclosed fee.

Dewsbury-Hall has made the move after playing a supporting role at Chelsea as they won the Club World Cup, UEFA Conference League and qualified for the UEFA Champions League. Reports suggest Everton paid around £28million to acquire the 26-year-old midfielder.

He departs Chelsea just a year after joining the west Londoners for £30m from Leicester City.

Speaking to EvertonTV after being unveiled, Dewsbury-Hall said: "I'm so, so excited to get started. Just sitting here in the stadium, it's unbelievable.

"I'm honestly very excited, my family's excited. There's a real buzz about this. It feels right for me. So just that alone gives me the motivation and the extra determination to show everybody, to prove a point and have a really successful time here.

"Everton's one of the biggest clubs in the country, and I think that in the next couple of years, the future is going to be bright. It was an easy decision in the end to come here and play for this club.

"You look at the stadium – it's incredible. Obviously, I've played in all of the Premier League stadiums, and this is one of, if not the most impressive, so that in itself is a major, major exciting factor for wanting to join.

"Then the fan base is one of the most passionate in the country, so I know if we start playing well and I start showing the fans what I'm about, it's going to be a big, big bonus to help me and the team show our best. So that's what I want."

Dewsbury-Hall revealed the key influence of Everton boss David Moyes.

He added: "For me to leave my old club, it would have had to have been for something special, a project that I really believed in. After speaking to the manager and seeing the ambitions with the new stadium and everything, it felt like the right club, it felt like the right fit for me for the next step.

"[Moyes] said he's been admiring me for a while; he loves the way I play and just explained to me what he sees me doing in my role in this team. That's what you want to hear as a player.

"I have enormous respect for him, he's a legend of the game, so it'll be a pleasure to work under him."

Dewsbury-Hall made 31 appearances in his debut season at Chelsea, with the majority of his minutes coming in the Conference League. He featured in 13 matches en route to Chelsea lifting the title, netting four goals.

On his new midfielder, Moyes said: "We are pleased that Kiernan has chosen to join Everton. He had other clubs interested in signing him but he was excited by the opportunity and the challenge at Everton.

"Kiernan’s quality and experience of the Premier League gives us the hope that he can adapt quickly.

"We look forward to working with him and I’m sure all Evertonians will give him the support he needs."

Everton have strengthened with the arrivals of Thierno Barry, Adam Aznou and Mark Travers this summer, while also signing Carlos Alcaraz permanently following a loan spell.

The club also extended the contracts of Jarrad Branthwaite and Idrissa Gueye.
