The France captain sustained a hamstring injury in the match against Real Betis towards the end of last month.
He could return for the match away at Barcelona this Sunday, but sparked outrage amongst Real's fan base after jetting off to Sardinia during his recovery.
It was a trip sanctioned by the club, and the player has since received public backing from coach Alvaro Arbeloa.
However, there has been a huge backlash after Mbappe was pictured on a yacht at roughly the same time Los Blancos were playing Espanyol on Sunday.
This has prompted the petition "Mbappe Out" to get in excess of 31 million signatures, but Romano insists that Real will not bow to fan pressure and explained the club have no desire to sell the 27-year-old this summer.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said: ”Guys, I would not exaggerate with this.
”For sure, it’s not the best moment between Kylian Mbappe and Real Madrid. That’s a reality.
”It’s not the best moment, obviously, to see a player like Kylian Mbappe on holiday while the team is struggling is something that is showing probably the moment, but at the same time, let’s not exaggerate.
”Let’s not say that the relationship between Real Madrid and Mbappe is broken. Let’s not say that between Mbappe and Real Madrid is over.
”Let’s not even mention that Real Madrid are considering Mbappe exit in the summer.
”There is nothing about. Nothing at all. It’s a complicated moment for Real Madrid, but it’s not only Mbappe. There are many complicated situations at Real Madrid.”

Atletico set €100m Alvarez valuation
Atletico Madrid are reportedly setting a €100 million valuation on Julian Alvarez, with Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal all showing interest in the forward, according to Mundo Deportivo.
However, Barcelona are said to be unwilling to meet the Spanish club's asking price at this stage, instead adopting a patient approach in the hope that the situation develops in their favour.
The Catalan side are understood to be monitoring whether Alvarez takes a more active stance regarding his future and signals a desire to leave.
The report in the Spanish publication reads: "Alvarez has yet to give any definitive guarantee that he will remain at Atletico next season, and the coming two weeks could prove decisive as he prepares to speak with the club before departing for the World Cup.
"Before joining the Argentina national team in the United States, he will have time to reflect on what he wants for his future next season. Alvarez is fully aware of the interest from Barcelona, renewed attention from PSG, and also Arsenal.
"For Barca, strengthening the centre-forward position is considered both strategic and the club's top priority for the upcoming summer transfer window. Alvarez sits at the very top of their shortlist."
The 26-year-old remains under contract until 2030, giving Atletico a strong negotiating position. Despite that, it is claimed Alvarez would favour a move to Camp Nou over other potential destinations if an opportunity were to arise.

Juventus offered Alaba on free transfer
David Alaba is expected to leave Real Madrid this summer and could be heading to Turin.
That is according to a report by Tuttosport via Football Italia, which claims that Juventus are weighing up the possibility of a move for the Austrian when his Los Blancos deal expires in June.
Discussions are said to be underway between Juventus and Alaba's agent Pini Zahavi over the possibility of a transfer this summer.
The report reads: "Despite his injury troubles, Alaba’s experience, trophy cabinet and versatility are attractive characteristics for the Bianconeri.
"Alaba has 10 Bundesliga titles to his name, four Champions League titles, six DFB Pokal trophies, three German Super Cup wins, two La Liga titles, a Copa del Rey, a Supercopa de Espana, three UEFA Super Cups and three Club World Cups.
"The fact that he is able to play as a left-sided centre-back, as a left-back and as a central midfielder is also encouraging."
The reports say that Alaba would need to accept a salary less than the €10m per season after tax, which he receives in Spain.

Could Fofana be on his way to Camp Nou?
In a more surprising development, another name could be heading to Barcelona this summer, according to reports in Switzerland.
The Catalans are said to have been offered the opportunity to sign Chelsea defender Wesley Fofana, with talks already taking place over a potential summer move.
Sky Sport Switzerland claim Fofana's representatives have held discussions with Barcelona sporting director Deco to assess the feasibility of a deal.

Chelsea are said to be open to a sale as they look to balance their squad and finances, with a valuation of around €30 million.
The 25-year-old, who is under contract until 2029, has made 34 appearances this season. Barcelona’s financial constraints mean a permanent transfer is unlikely at this stage, with a loan deal including an option to buy viewed as the most realistic structure.
Monaco set to activate Fati release clause
One player who looks set to end his spell with Barcelona is Ansu Fati, with AS Monaco reportedly ready to activate the €11 million option clause to sign the on-loan winger.
Spanish publication Marca reports that the 23-year-old, who has scored 10 goals in 23 Ligue 1 appearances this season, will move to the south of France on a full-time basis from the start of next season - provided negotiations run smoothly in the coming weeks.

The report claims: "Up until now, there have not been any talks to resolve the future of the player. Monaco want him to stay, but there is no definitive answer up to this point.
"What appears practically dismissed is that the player returns to Barcelona, who would ideally like to close any deal before June 30 in order to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations."
