The proposed deal reflects his immense value to the squad, vaulting the Spain international into the bracket of top earners at the North London club who narrowly survived relegation in the 2025/26 season.
The Athletic reports: ”Pedro Porro is close to agreeing a long-term contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
”The Spanish full-back is approaching the final two years of his current deal, which is due to run until 2028, but is nearing an agreement that is proposed to run until 2031, with the option of a further twelve months.
”The new contract, if signed, will make the full back among the highest paid players at Spurs.”
Amorim on AC Milan managerial shortlist
Former Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has emerged as a top contender to take over at AC Milan following a recommendation from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Rossoneri are looking to reshape their technical staff after parting ways with Max Allegri following a disappointing fifth-place finish.
The Sun explains: ”Zlatan Ibrahimovic has given Ruben Amorim a leg up by adding him to the AC Milan shortlist. The former Manchester United boss has been out of a job since January but having kept a low public profile it could be time for him to return.
”Amorim, who saw success at Sporting Lisbon, could be the perfect fit for the seven-time European champions, who sacked Max Allegri after bowing out of the Serie A campaign.
”The Rossoneri concluded the Italian season in fifth-place, missing out on a Champions League spot for a second straight year, while rivals Inter Milan claimed the Scudetto.”
Fulham near Arbeloa appointment
Fulham are closing in on the appointment of former Real Madrid interim head coach Alvaro Arbeloa as they seek a high-profile replacement for Marco Silva.
The 43-year-old former defender has moved to the front of the queue at Craven Cottage after Kieran McKenna ruled himself out of the running.
The Mirror states: ”Fulham are closing in on the appointment of former Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa, who is poised to succeed Marco Silva. Silva was in charge at Craven Cottage for five years but quit to take over Portuguese giants Benfica.
”Arbeloa, 43, who had spells at Liverpool and West Ham as a player, was interim boss at Real Madrid last season after they sacked Xabi Alonso.
”It would be quite a coup for Fulham who also held talks with Kieran McKenna but he quit Ipswich saying he wanted a break from football.
”Fulham have now pursued Arbeloa and, while the deal is not done, they are closing in on the appointment.”
Kretinsky to become majority shareholder at West Ham
Daniel Kretinsky will officially become the largest shareholder at West Ham United after striking a deal to buy an additional stake from the Gold family.
The billionaire is prepared to bankroll a substantial summer transfer budget to ensure an instant return to the top flight following their recent relegation.
The Mail reports: ”Daniel Kretinsky will become the largest shareholder at West Ham, the club have confirmed - and he's willing to fund their bid for an immediate return to the Premier League.
”The Royal Mail owner's share will rise from 27 per cent to 43 per cent after he agreed a deal with the family of David Gold to buy an additional stake.
”The transaction for Kretinsky to assume more shares is expected to take a couple of weeks.”
