Tottenham enter ‘bidding war’ for Gallagher

According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Tottenham consider Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher to be the "idea"’ signing.
In the summer, Gallagher was linked with a return to Crystal Palace, where he was named the club’s player of the year while on loan in 2021/22, while Manchester United were also said to have had a late approach snubbed for the England international.
The Fichajes report reads: "Tottenham have entered the bidding war with a bang. The London club considers the midfielder an ideal addition to their midfield for the upcoming challenges.
"Atletico Madrid are carefully considering what to do with Conor Gallagher. His departure would represent significant revenue, but also the loss of a versatile player who contributes in multiple areas.
"Conor Gallagher's entourage are not ruling out any scenario. The player has always expressed his comfort level in Spain, but the possibility of returning to his home country is tempting.
"The deal for Conor Gallagher could be finalised in the winter transfer window. Tottenham are willing to negotiate immediately and take advantage of any opportunity Atletico Madrid leaves open."

Silva’s ‘pending contract’ with Benfica

Joao Noronha Lopes, a candidate in Benfica's presidential election which will be held on October 25, claimed that the Portuguese club have an agreement in place to sign Bernardo Silva.
In an interview with A Bola, Lopes said: "Yes, I can confirm that Bernardo Silva has a pending contract.
"And I'm really looking forward to signing him in January. He embodies everything I'm looking for in Benfica: identity, a winning culture, and he's a huge Benfica fan. And I assure you, we won't stop there."

Man City to make ‘strong offer’ for Barcola

Another Fichajes report has alleged that Manchester City are interested in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, who was also linked with a move to Liverpool over the summer.
The outlet claims: "Manchester City remain interested in signing Bradley Barcola after failing to complete his move in the summer transfer window.
"Pep Guardiola believes the French striker can be a key player in bolstering his attack for the second half of the season."
The report conceded, however: "Manchester City knows the signing won't be easy. Convincing PSG to part with a player who has grown so much in such a short time is a difficult task.
"However, the English club intends to submit a strong offer in January, before other European giants return to the fray."
