According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Roma want to sign Garnacho on an initial loan with a mandatory buy clause, while Chelsea intend to sell the 22-year-old on a permanent basis this summer.
Romano adds: "Roma are continuing to work on Garnacho. Constant contact with his agents, Roma are working with Chelsea to try to lower their demands.
"Chelsea want €50 million (£43m) for Garnacho, Roma would like to pay much less but, above all, to make it a loan with obligations.
"Negotiations are under way. Roma are currently attempting to find a solution in order to unblock the entire operation.
"Roma have finalised an agreement with Garnacho and the player is ready, which is noteworthy, considering that, a year-and-a-half ago, when other Italian possibilities arose, Garnacho was not interested.
"Now, however, he is open to the idea, and the situation is certainly one that deserves to be followed with very close attention moving forward."

Man Utd move for Tielemans

Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa after abandoning their pursuit of Atalanta midfielder Ederson, The Athletic reports.
Tielemans favours a move to Old Trafford and though under contract at Villa until 2028, talks are ongoing between all parties to complete the transfer.
The article adds: ”The Athletic reported this month Unai Emery wanted to build around the Villa midfield three of Tielemans, Boubacar Kamara and Amadou Onana - however the latter will be out for a significant period having torn his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during Belgium’s World Cup win over the United States.
”Tielemans captained Belgium during their run to the quarter-finals, only to miss Friday’s defeat by Spain after picking up an injury in the warm-up. He scored twice in Belgium’s 3-2 comeback win against Senegal in the round of 32.
”United’s midfield focus follows the departure of Casemiro, while Manuel Ugarte damaged knee ligaments during Uruguay’s World Cup group-stage loss to Spain.”

Villa eye Digne replacement

Aston Villa want to sign AC Milan’s Pervis Estupinan with the Ecuador international viewed as a replacement for possible outgoing Lucas Digne, the Mail reports.
Digne is a target for UEFA Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain, with the full-back set to return to his former club after impressing for France at the World Cup.
The Mail adds: ”The Aston Villa left-back spent three years PSG from 2013-16 and is seen as an ideal alternative to Nuno Mendes – regarded as one of the world’s top full-backs.
”Daily Mail Sport understands there is a clause in Digne’s contract which, if triggered, will allow him to discuss terms with PSG, although it is unclear at this stage what this clause is worth. Villa’s next official fixture is in the UEFA Super Cup against PSG in Salzburg on August 12.
”Unai Emery was uncertain about Digne when he took over at Villa in autumn 2022 and quickly brought in Alex Moreno to play in his position.”
