Manchester United are most likely to sign Manuel Kone if he is sold by AS Roma, but Chelsea could make a late move for the star, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. United reportedly have Kone on a shortlist, alongside Eduardo Camavinga and Alex Scott.

A report on Thursday says it is more likely than not that the midfielder will be sold by Roma for around ÂŁ47 million.
It is said in Gazzetta that United have the player on a shortlist, alongside Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga and Bournemouth star Alex Scott.
But it is suggested that Chelsea could possibly usurp United and take the player to Stamford Bridge.
Italian giants Roma are believed to be willing to sell, to help resolve Financial Fair Play disputes.
The report says: "The team most interested is Manchester United, who have included Kone on a shortlist along with Camavinga and Scott.
"The Red Devils are genuinely interested. So is Kone's desire to compete in the Premier League, given that his PSG dream hasn't materialised. But keep an eye on Chelsea in the final hours."
Kone is currently with the French squad at the 2026 World Cup, where they will take part in the bronze match against England this weekend.

Szoboszlai agrees new Liverpool deal
Dominik Szoboszlai has agreed to sign a new five-year deal at Liverpool, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano reports that a verbal agreement is in place for the new deal, with final details being sorted before an official statement is made.
Szoboszlai has been with Liverpool since 2023, helping Arne Slot's team to the league title in the 2024/25 season.
Slot left the club at the end of last season following a disappointing campaign, with Andoni Iraola replacing him in the hot seat.
Romano says that Szoboszlai is fully on board with the new project under Iraola, and is ready to put pen to paper on a deal keeping him at Anfield until 2031.
Zidane aims to have more women in France coaching staff
Zinedine Zidane wants to increase the number of women in his coaching staff when he takes over as manager of France, according to Foot Mercato.
Didier Deschamps will leave his post as France boss after 14 years in charge following their meeting with England on Saturday.
The report says: "Zinedine Zidane wants to give much greater importance to performance analysis and statistical data.
"The former Real Madrid coach wants to strengthen the French national team's data department.
"Furthermore, the former Bordeaux player wants to increase the number of women in his coaching staff, particularly in specialised roles.
"While several 1998 World Cup winners, such as Fabien Barthez, are regularly mentioned as potential members of his staff, no names have yet been officially confirmed."
Spence showing could make it harder for Inter
Gazzetta says the fine performance of Djed Spence in England's World Cup semi-final against Argentina will likely drive up any fee to buy him, amid interest from Inter.
The story says the performance from the Tottenham Hotspur man was "arguably the best of his career".
Inter are keen to address the void on the right flank left by the departure of Denzel Dumfries.
The report also says: "There's a flip side: Spence's impressive displays have put him firmly in the shop window.
"This will potentially attract other bids for the Tottenham player and prompt the English club to demand a higher transfer fee."
