Besiktas have made a first offer for Mohamed Salah in an attempt to bring the Egypt international to Turkey this summer, according to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu. Salah is a free agent after leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.

Sabuncuoglu wrote that Salah had asked originally for an annual salary of €15 million (£12.8 million) in his "initial meeting" with the Turkish club, but "lowered his salary expectations to join Besiktas".
It concluded by saying, "the player's lawyer has arrived in Istanbul."
Sabuncuoglu's report comes on the same day as comments made by Salah's agent which suggest his future destination might be announced in the coming days.
Ramy Abbas Issa wrote on X: "We still do not know where Mohamed will play next season, but we may know very soon."
He added: "It is not our style to have discussions with clubs that Mohamed wouldn’t want to play for, just for the sake of noise."
Salah, 34, left Liverpool having scored 257 goals in 442 games in all competitions with the club.
He captained Egypt to the last 16 of this summer's FIFA World Cup in North America this summer, where they were dramatically knocked out by eventual finalists, Argentina.
Earlier this week, Besiktas completed the signing of Leandro Trossard from Arsenal.
Atletico tell Barca to end Alvarez pursuit
Atletico Madrid chief executive Miguel Angel Gil says he has personally spoken to Barcelona president Joan Laporta to instruct the Catalan club to stop pursuing forward Julian Alvarez.
Barcelona have long been rumoured to be interested in the Argentina international, but Gil is steadfast that Atletico do not want to sell Alvarez, especially to a La Liga rival.
"I know [Barcelona president] Joan [Laporta] well enough to believe that he is constantly playing to the media and to the fans, for his own personal circus," Gil said in a video posted on the club's official YouTube channel.
"I am not offended. I have a good personal relationship with him. I spoke to him personally. I told him: 'Please, just let it go. We do not want to sell him, and we are not going to sell him. Stop insisting.'
"But he keeps this situation alive because, in part, he enjoys it. He is frivolous and loves maintaining this relationship with the fans and the media.
"But he knows perfectly well that Julian will not be playing for FC Barcelona next season. But he enjoys keeping this game going with the fans and the media, and worst of all, with Julian himself."
Alvarez has been heavily linked to a possible move to Arsenal this summer too. His contract at Atletico includes a £426 million (€500 million) release clause.
Como 'close to signing' Chalobah from Chelsea
Como are reportedly "close to signing" Trevor Chalobah from Chelsea for €30 million (£25.5 million), according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Chalobah has spent this summer with England at the 2026 World Cup after receiving a late call-up because of an injury to Tino Livramento.
But Gazzetta dello Sport say the centre-back "may not return to Chelsea" after the Serie A squad submitted their third offer worth €30 million plus €5 million in bonuses for Chalobah.
The report says that "a few million" sits between the valuation from either club, but that "negotiations are ongoing, despite the strong interest from other clubs in the defender."
"A meeting between the clubs is scheduled for the next few hours to seek a final agreement," the report concluded.
