Team GB's Mia Brookes won X Games gold at the women's snowboard slopestyle event in Colorado. The 19-year-old claimed her second X Games title, having triumphed in 2024, beating New Zealander Zoi Sadowski-Synott and Japan's Kokomo Murase to the top of the podium. Brookes is one member of Britain's 20-strong team heading to Milano Cortina for the Winter Olympics, which are live on TNT Sports.

Great Britain’s Mia Brookes Olympic medal hopes were boosted by X Games gold in the women’s snowboard slopestyle event in Colorado.
The 19-year-old has been named in the Team GB squad for February's Winter Games in Milano Cortina, which will be streamed live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
She secured victory with a score of 96.33, beating New Zealander Zoi Sadowski-Synott, who scored 93, to the top of the podium and Japan’s Kokomo Murase who finished with a score of 89.66.
The victory is Brookes’ second major triumph this season after winning Big Air World Cup gold in December.
Brookes rose to wider prominence by winning the slopestyle gold medal at the 2023 World Championships after she burst onto the scene at junior level with a gold and silver at the 2022 Junior World Championships.
It is her second X Games gold medal, after she won gold in Aspen in 2024, while she also won bronze last year.
Speaking about her latest triumph, Brookes said: "It feels pretty great to win. I'm super hyped - wasn't expecting it. I just came in wanting to have a good time and we got there in the end."
Brookes won the overall freestyle World Cup a year ago and is considered to be a major contender for Olympic medals in both the Big Air and Slopestyle events.
This win backs up her Big Air World Cup triumph in Beijing last month and showcases her form heading towards Italy.
It was her fourth individual World Cup triumph, following on from slopestyle gold in Laax and big air gold in Klagenfurt last January and a further Big Air triumph the December before.

Brookes will now compete in the women’s Big Air event on Saturday, where she will attempt to overcome Austria’s Anna Gasser, who will look to defend her title in search of a sixth X Games gold medal.
She then travels to her maiden Olympic Games as one of Britain’s major medal hopes.
