One of the biggest MMA fights of the year takes place tonight as Ilia Topuria and Charles Oliveira face each other at UFC 317 on Sunday morning, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.

The pair go head-to-head in Las Vegas with the lightweight title up for grabs, after UFC’s pound-for-pound leader Islam Makhachev chose to vacate his belt and move up a weight class.

Oliveira has a shot at redemption having fallen short in his bid to reclaim the title against Makhachev at UFC 280. The Brazilian earned his chance for a second run at the top by dominating Michael Chandler at UFC 309.

Meanwhile, the undefeated Topuria has moved up to the division permanently following defence of his featherweight title against Max Holloway at UFC 308. Before that, a knockout win over Alexander Volkanovski.

Current champion Alexandre Pantoja looks to defend his title for the fourth time, facing New Zealand’s Kai Kara-France who returns to the Octagon for the first time since his first round knockout against former challenger Steve Erceg in August 2024.
