Aprilia 'celebrating like a pole position' as Jorge Martin comes eighth in GP San Marino practice - 'All about giving him confidence'

MotoGP champion Jorge Martin's eighth-place finish in Friday's practice session at Grand Prix San Marino was "celebrated like a pole position" by the Aprilia team. "It's about giving the rider the confidence," said TNT Sports expert Neil Hodgson as the Spaniard came in to the garage to applause. Martin has finished just three races in an injury-disrupted season and is yet to claim a podium spot.
