Jorge Martin 'feeling great' as he confirms plans for MotoGP return at Czech Grand Prix following injuries

Jorge Martin's hopes of winning back-to-back MotoGP titles have been wrecked by injuries that have seen him compete in just one race so far this season. However, Martin has confirmed he is set to return to action after a testing session. Marc Marquez currently leads the MotoGP championship ahead of the German GP at Sachsenring.

MotoGP world champion Jorge Martin says he is "feeling great" ahead of making his return at the Czech Grand Prix in Brno.
Aprilia rider Martin missed the opening three races of the campaign due to injury and then had another setback as he crashed on his return in Qatar and suffered a collapsed lung and broken ribs.
He has been back on an Aprilia RS-GP25 this week at a private testing session in Misano, and has confirmed his plans to return.
"I’m really happy to be here. It's been a difficult journey," said Martin.
"Finally, after more than three months I'm back on a MotoGP bike, so I'm super happy. It's a pity that I was injured so many times that we didn’t make the whole season, but now we are back. This is the most important thing."
Martin, who also missed all of pre-season with injury, won the title last year ahead of Francesco Bagnaia.
He left Ducati in the off-season to join Aprilia but is yet to complete a race with his new team.
He will not take part at the German Grand Prix this weekend but hopes to be back in Brno, with both races live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
"The feeling today was great," he said after testing.
"We did a great job, I think from the beginning, from less to more and more during the day.
"And finally we were able to work a lot during this day. So I'm super happy and ready for what's coming.
"The plan is to come back in Brno. So I hope everything goes well during this week, I can train in normal circumstances and I hope to see you all in Brno."
In Martin’s absence, Marc Marquez has taken over at the top of the MotoGP standings.
Marquez leads by 68 points from brother Alex, with team-mate Bagnaia in third.
Sachsenring, the circuit for the German GP, is Marc Marquez’s most successful circuit with 11 victories.
He was second last year after starting 13th on the grid.
"Of course, every year when you arrive in Sachsenring, there are high expectations," he told MotoGP.com
"I will just try to control myself. It’s the key point of this weekend.

"I need to understand, first of all the track conditions, because it will be cold plus some rain. Then I need to understand well the championship situation. We have two races in a row, so we need to take care.
"And the third thing is, I won a lot here, but the last two years – 2023 and 2024 – I broke ribs. I broke fingers.
"Last year I finished second, but I also had a very big crash at turn 11. So just keep calm and the main target is to finish in front of our main opponents for the championship, Alex and Pecco."
