MotoGP returns with all the racing action from the 2026 season live on TNT Sports and HBO Max. The new campaign started in Thailand on the weekend of March 1 and finishes in Valencia on November 22. Marc Marquez is the defending champion and is bidding to win an eighth title. Toprak Razgatlioglu is a new face on the grid after switching from World SBK.

The MotoGP season is in full swing again, with all 22 Grands Prix live on TNT Sports and HBO Max in the UK.
Marc Marquez started the defence of his title in Thailand on the weekend of March 1 - but will he be champion again when the finale in Valencia rolls around on November 22? And who will Marquez’s main challengers be this season?

When does the 2026 MotoGP season start?
The 2026 MotoGP season got underway with Grand Prix Thailand.
Action from the Chang International Circuit started with practice on Friday, February 27, followed by qualifying and the sprint on February 28.
It was lights out for the first Grand Prix of the season on Sunday, March 1.

What is the 2026 MotoGP season schedule?
There’s a change to the MotoGP calendar for 2026 as Brazil returns to the circuit after a 22-year absence.
The Autodromo Internacional Ayrton Senna track in Goiania will host the second round of action, replacing Argentina on the schedule.
Silverstone has moved from May to August and Phillip Island will host for the last time before the Australia round switches to the streets of Adelaide in 2027.
The season will again conclude with back-to-back weekends in Portugal and Valencia.

How to watch the 2026 MotoGP season
TNT Sports will be your home of MotoGP in the UK and Ireland in 2026.
Every race weekend will be available live and on-demand via TNT Sports and its streaming platform, HBO Max, up to and including Brazil. Afterwards, the action will be streamed on HBO Max.
Suzi Perry, Rachel Stringer and Natalie Quirk will host the action, while former riders Neil Hodgson, Michael Laverty and Sylvain Guintoli will be offering their expert views straight from the paddock.
Hodgson will also be giving his thoughts on the action with a regular column on TNT Sports every Friday of race weeks.
Gavin Emmett resumes his place in the commentary box with Steve Day also calling the live action.
Who are the riders for the 2026 MotoGP season?
There are 22 riders on the grid, with Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo) the defending champion.
Marquez is currently level with Valentino Rossi on seven MotoGP titles and is bidding to equal the all-time record held by Giacomo Agostini.
Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing) could be the biggest challenger to his brother after finishing second in the championship last season.
Marquez’s team-mate Francesco Bagnaia will be hoping to contend after finishing fifth in 2025, while 2024 champion Jorge Martin (Aprilia Racing) is back after an injury-hit campaign.
Toprak Razgatlioglu (Prima Primac Yamaha) is a new face after switching from World SBK, where he was a three-time champion.
A number of riders, including Marc and Alex Marquez, are out of contract at the end of the season ahead of significant changes coming in 2027.
From the following season there will be a switch from 1000cc engines to 850cc engines, and tyres will change from Michelin to Pirelli.
