How to watch and stream the 2025 Shoot Out
The Snooker Shoot Out is live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Who is playing at the 2025 Snooker Shoot Out?
While the likes of Ronnie O’Sullivan, world No. 1 Trump and UK Championship winner Selby are not in the field, the event is not short on quality.
World champion Zhao Xintong will be strutting his stuff, as will 2023 Crucible king Luca Brecel.
Stan Moody made a name for himself in the Shoot Out in 2022 and will look to wow the fans again, while Jimmy White will likely have a legion of supporters on his side.

What is the format for the 2025 Snooker Shoot Out?
The format is pretty simple in Blackpool, with one table in play and it being roll-on, roll-off.
There is scope for tactical play, but get on the back foot and you could be in trouble as matches are played over one frame lasting a maximum of 10 minutes.
Sweet wrappers and mobile phones are frowned upon at most snooker events, but the Shoot Out is not like most events and the crowd are allowed - positively encouraged - to be vocal during play.
Committing a foul in snooker is never good, but it is a cardinal sin in the Shoot Out as it presents your opponent with ball in hand to allow them to play from anywhere on the table.
Players must hit a cushion, any ball counts, or pot a ball at each visit to the table or they are called for a foul.
There is a shot clock in play, lasting 15 seconds for the first five minutes before dropping to 10 for the second half of the contest.
In the event of a tied match, a blue ball shoot-out takes place. It is fairly self-explanatory, with the blue placed on its spot and players taking it in turns, until one pots it and the other misses.
