The Snooker Shoot-Out 2025 has served up plenty of thrills and spills, and Ryan Day was responsible for one of the more embarrassing moments of the weekend as he somehow potted the cue ball three times in the space of a few minutes. Day was facing 17-year-old Ethan Llewellyn, who was able to secure the win thanks to his opponents mishaps in what was a "sickening blow" for the Welshman.

Ryan Day gifted Ethan Llewellyn an early birthday present as the Welshman made three huge errors in quick succession.
The fourth day of Snooker Shoot Out action saw Day face off against 17-year-old Llewellyn, who only turns 18 on Sunday, December 14.
The pair were embroiled in a cagey opening to their third-round clash, until, after a little over three minutes in, Day saw the cue ball roll into a pocket.
"What's he done?" Dave Hendon cried out on commentary for TNT Sports. "Oh no! He's handed lethal Llewellyn a golden chance to score."
Hendon and his fellow commentator Dominic Dale were shocked at what proceeded to happen soon after, as Day potted the cue ball not once but twice more.
A frustrated Day sprung away from the table and thanks to his in-off, Llewellyn was quick to take control.

Almost exactly two minutes after his first in-off, Day then saw the cue ball roll into the corner pocket once again.
Instead of leaping away in annoyance this time, he just let out a wry smile and was in clear disbelief over what he had just done.
"Not another in-off," Hendon said this time. "Not another in-off, Ryan! Oh no. Well this one could be fatal. Once is bad enough, but to do it twice. He'll be concerned now."

His opponent, however, gave Day another chance to get a foothold in the contest with another miss.
Incredibly, Day then went in-off for a third time and neither the commentators nor Day could believe it.
"You are kidding!" Hendon said. "These things come in threes for Ryan Day. Three in-offs. Surely he can't get away with that one."
Dale added: "That's a sickening blow for Ryan."
Day managed to pot a couple, but it was much too late after his flurry of mistakes midway through the match and the young Llewellyn finished an impressive performance and secured a huge win for himself.
Llewellyn is now gearing up to face Yuan Sijun in the fourth round on the tournament's final day.
Reigning champion Tom Ford is still in the running to defend his title as he faces David Gilbert, and Luca Brecel waits to face Fan Zhengyi.
