The 13th ranking event of the season is nearly here as snooker's top stars battle it out for the winner's cheque of £100,000 in Llandudno. Ronnie O'Sullivan will be among the 64 players involved, as will defending champion Gary Wilson and reigning world champion Kyren Wilson. Judd Trump will not be there as he eyes a big end to the season. The event is live on Eurosport and discovery+.

The top snooker stars in the world will next gather in Llandudno as 64 players battle it out for the 2025 Welsh Open at the Venue Cymru.
As is the case for all the Home Nations events, the matches will be best-of-seven frames up to and including the fourth round.
The quarter-finals will be best-of-nine frames, the semi-finals best-of-11 frames and the final will be best-of-17, played over two sessions.
Who are the 64 players lining up to compete, and how can you watch the action? Here's all the details.
WHEN IS THE WELSH OPEN?
The Welsh Open 2025 runs from Monday, February 10 to Sunday, February 16. Qualifying takes place from Tuesday, February 4 to Thursday, February 6.

WHO IS PLAYING AT THE WELSH OPEN?
There will be 64 players competing at the 34th consecutive edition of the Welsh Open - making it the third longest-running ranking tournament after the World Championship and UK Championship.
Gary Wilson will be back to defend his title, while Ronnie O'Sullivan will also return to action after he withdrew from the German Masters at the Tempodrom on medical grounds.
World champion Kyren Wilson will be looking to follow up his victory in Berlin with another title in Llandudno, but one big name who will not take part is Judd Trump, who is giving the Welsh Open a miss for the second successive year.

The Bristolian said last year that he wanted to focus on hitting his peak towards the end of the season, with his focus being on a second World Championship in May.
Robert Milkins, the 2023 champion, will look to win back his crown after a disappointing German Masters campaign, as he was knocked out in the second round by Zhang Anda.
WHAT IS THE WELSH OPEN SCHEDULE?
The tournament gets underway on Monday, February 10, while the competition will come to an end with the final to take place a week later on Sunday, February 16.
The quarter-finals are set for Friday, with the semi-finals on Saturday.
