Jannik Sinner shrugged off his recent "struggles" at the "very unique" Paris Masters with victory over Zizou Bergs in the second round. The world No. 2 impressed during an emphatic 6-4 6-2 triumph on Centre Court. The Italian star is hoping to win the tournament for the first time in his career. Carlos Alcaraz is already out of the event following his defeat against Cameron Norrie.

Jannik Sinner believes that Centre Court at the 2025 Paris Masters is "very unique" after his 6-4 6-2 win over Zizou Bergs in the second round.
The 24-year-old will face Francisco Cerundolo in the next stage of the tournament after he beat Miomir Kecmanovic in a three-set thriller in the French capital.
Alexander Zverev came out on top at the event last year, and Sinner is hoping to win it for the first time in his career.
The 2025 French Open finalist believes that the venue for his second-round win is unlike any other in the world.
"I felt like mostly the movement [was good]," said Sinner. "It’s a very unique court here. Usually, I've always struggled a bit, so I’m very happy to come through the first match.
"I’m very happy how I served today.

"I was very precise, and I also started off with a break straight away, which gives you a bit more confidence.
"I’m very happy about today’s performance."
Bergs put the world No. 2 under pressure in the first game of the match, but Sinner rode out the storm to break his opponent and cruise into a 2-0 lead.
The four-time Grand Slam champion then held serve to win the opening set 6-4, and things got even better for the Italian star.
He produced several phenomenal shots to cruise to a 6-2 win in the second set and book his place in the next round.

Sinner is hoping to end a successful 2025 season on a high - he kicked off his campaign by winning the Australian Open before coming out on top at Wimbledon for the first time over the summer.
He will not have to defeat his bitter rival Carlos Alcaraz to claim the Paris Masters title though.
The Spaniard was eliminated from the tournament on Tuesday after falling to a 4-6 6-3 6-4 loss against Britain’s Cameron Norrie.
