As the French Open edges towards the middle weekend and we start to see the tournament take shape at Roland-Garros, a host of stars are in action on Thursday.

World No. 1s Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Siner both take to the southern Paris courts, as does Coco Gauff.

Having safely advanced past Frenchman Clement Tabur in three sets to open the tournament he is favourite for, Sinner now faces Argentina's Juan Manuel Cerundolo.

With Carlos Alcaraz out of the picture due to injury, Sinner is the clear favourite to claim a career Grand Slam, but others are there waiting to pounce.

One of those is Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the fourth seed, who faces Roman Andres Burrachaga, while fifth seed Ben Shelton is also in action against Raphael Collignon.

After Sinner comes Sabalenka, who, like her male counterpart, is chasing down victory in the final after losing last year.

Gauff, who beat Sabalenka a year ago, is playing the second match of her title defence, taking on Egyptian Mayar Sherif.

Elsewhere, Naomi Osaka, who got past Laura Siegemund in the brutal Parisian heat, takes on Donna Vekic.

Britain’s final hope, Katie Boulter, is up against Anastasia Popova on Court 6 in the afternoon, following the disappointing French Open thus far for British players, which has seen Emma Raducanu and Cameron Norrie both knocked out in the opening round.

There are some home favourites in action, too, with Arthur Rinderknech taking on Matteo Berrettini in the night session on Phillipe-Chatrier, while his cousin, Monegasque 16th seed Valentin Vacherot, looks to continue his whirlwind year.

When does Sinner play?

The Italian is on in the morning on the main court, Court Philippe-Chatrier, as he looks to further present his case for his fifth major title and the Grand Slam.

Sinner is in sublime form, not losing since February, and has come into Roland-Garros off the back of five successive tournament victories.

He is due to get underway at around 11:00 UK time.

When does Sabalenka play?

Just like on Tuesday, when the two world No. 1s were in action on the same court, they are again on Thursday.

Sabalenka will be on later than last time, following on from the match between Ann Li and Diane Parry on the showcase court.

Sabalenka has struggled of late on clay, but showed no signs of that in the first round and could well win her fifth major title to head to Wimbledon with the Grand Slam in her sights.

She is listed to start at 13:50 UK time.
