The Russian claimed her maiden victory over Madison Keys at the fourth time of asking as she broke on her first match point to secure a third-set bagel and prevail in one hour and 43 minutes.
The 25th seed will now face play Aryna Sabalenka or Naomi Osaka in the last eight.

A powerhouse crosscourt backhand helps her to venture forward and execute a delicious half volley that Shnaider can only desperately lob long to conclude a hold to 15.
