The draw for the Adobe Women's FA Cup fifth round has been made. A repeat of last season's final between holders Chelsea and Manchester United is the highlight of the draw, while Liverpool and Everton will clash in a Merseyside derby. Adobe Women's FA Cup holders Chelsea will face Manchester United in a mouthwatering fifth-round tie next month.

There will also be a Merseyside derby as Liverpool host Everton, with both sides struggling for form in the Women's Super League.

Speaking after the draw was made, former England international Fara Williams said: "The Merseyside derby, having played for both of those teams, it's a really tasty one.

"Football up in Merseyside is always big, certainly in the FA Cup.

"And the repeat of last season's FA Cup final, Chelsea at home to Manchester United, so early on in the competition. Chelsea will see themselves as favourites if they can knock United out."

Chelsea, who beat Crystal Palace 5-0 in the fourth round, are aiming for a seventh FA Cup title and a fifth in six years.

Their dominance of the competition was interrupted by United in 2024 - who beat Chelsea in the semi-finals and Tottenham in the final - and The Red Devils will hope to eliminate the favourites again this time around.

Chelsea beat United 3-0 in last year's Women's FA Cup final, and also beat them 1-0 in the 2023 final.

Marc Skinner's side are five points behind Chelsea in the WSL table, with Manchester City leading the way, themselves five points clear of The Blues.

Andree Jeglertz's City have been drawn against WSL 2 side Sheffield United, so they will expect to progress to the quarter-finals.

"The consistency they've shown this season and the position they're sat in in the WSL, they'll have hopes of going far in this competition," Williams said of City.

"They'll be looking at this competition as one to win - they haven't won it in a while."

Women's National League South side Oxford United, meanwhile, will play WSL 2 leaders Charlton.

There are more all-WSL ties as West Ham United face Brighton & Hove Albion, and London City Lionesses host Tottenham Hotspur.

Birmingham City will play surprise-package Chatham Town, who have far surpassed expectations to reach this stage of the competition.

Finally, 14-time winners Arsenal host WSL 2 outfit Bristol City. The Gunners have not won the competition since 2015/2016.

"The last time they won the FA Cup I was involved," said Williams.

"That just shows how long they haven't won it for. A team like Arsenal, that have dominated this competition for many a year, there's pressure on this club and players to go and get the FA Cup back."

The fifth round is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 22, with the action live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
