This season’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup semi-finals will be shown live on TNT Sports and HBO Max on Sunday, 10 May, with Liverpool hosting Brighton before Chelsea welcome Manchester City to Stamford Bridge. The Blues are the defending champions and have dominated the competition in recent seasons but will have their work cut out against City, who are the runaway leaders of the Women’s Super League.

This season’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup semi-finals, including Manchester City’s visit to Chelsea, will be shown live on TNT Sports and HBO Max on Sunday, 10 May.

The action will begin at St Helens Stadium, with Liverpool hosting Brighton as they look to reach their first FA Cup final in 30 years.

The Reds, who sit 10th in the Women’s Super League, reached the final on successive occasions in 1995 and 1996, but were beaten in both games and have not reached that stage of the competition since.

Gareth Taylor’s side will hope they can once again avoid defeat against Brighton and prevent them from reaching a first-ever final.

The south coast side have failed to beat Liverpool in their past eight meetings but both WSL contests this season ended in a draw and they find themselves four points and four places above the Merseyside outfit.

Albion will also be boosted by their 2-0 victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-finals, following wins over Nottingham Forest and West Ham United in the previous rounds.

Liverpool, meanwhile, will go into next month’s semi-final thanks to wins over London Bees, Everton and Charlton Athletic.

Attention will then turn to a blockbuster clash in the capital with defending champions Chelsea taking on WSL leaders City at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues, who beat Manchester United 3-0 in last year’s final, are targeting their seventh FA Cup title and their fifth in six years.

The west London side have evidently been the competition’s dominant force in recent seasons, with United the only other side to win it since 2020.

Before that, it was City who enjoyed a fruitful period, winning their first three FA Cup titles within four campaigns between 2017 and 2020.

Since that latest triumph, though, they have reached the final just once in five attempts, doing so in 2022 when they were beaten after extra-time by Chelsea.

However, Andree Jeglertz’s side will likely be going into the semi-final clash on the high of being newly-crowned WSL champions.

City are currently nine points ahead of Chelsea, with both teams having three games left to play, while the league leaders are 11 points clear of Arsenal, who have two games in hand.

Despite Chelsea winning their first two meetings this season, City claimed a thumping 5-1 win in the most recent game between the sides in February.

Chelsea have beaten Crystal Palace, United and Tottenham Hotspur to reach the last four, while City have overcome Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Birmingham City.

The first semi-final on Merseyside kicks off at 12:15 (BST), before Chelsea and City get underway at 15:30, and both contests will be live on TNT Sports 1 & HBO Max.
