Zeki Amdouni completed a stunning second-half comeback for Benfica over 10-man Monaco, with the visitors stealing a thrilling 3-2 win in the principality.

The Portuguese side unexpectedly fell behind after seeing their opposition reduced numerically, but two goals in the final 10 minutes handed the away side their third win in Europe this season.

Aleksandr Golovin kept an early rebound alive and fed teenage sensation Ben Seghir who had the simple task of tapping Monaco ahead.

Angel Di Maria had a golden opportunity to drag the visitors level, but Polish keeper Radosław Majecki was equal to his driven attempt and made a superb stop with his legs.

Benfica eventually equalised via a gift from Monaco’s Caio Henrique, whose weak header failed to reach his goalkeeper and Greek striker Vangelis Pavlidis took full advantage.

It was anyone’s guess who would nudge their noses in front, with both teams seeing goals ruled out for offside, first Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche and then Benfica’s Alexander Bah.

Monaco defender Wilfried Singo earned himself a second yellow card for an ill-judged tackle midway through the second half, but the 10 players surprisingly retook the lead through a Soungoutou Magassa thunderbolt.

But Arthur Cabral bravely stuck his head onto a delicious Di Maria cross and Amdouni struck four minutes later to snatch a vital three points.

Malik Tillman inspired a stunning late comeback to earn struggling PSV a crucial 3-2 win over 10-player Shakhtar Donetsk.

The American gave the hosts a glimmer of hope with his clever free-kick making it 2-1 in the 87th minute, and his subsequent long-range blast was just reward for those supporters who stayed behind.

But Ricardo Pepi completed the scarcely believable fight back in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Danylo Sikan gave Shakhtar an early lead, stretching to turn home Yukhym Konoplya's cross from the right.

The right-back was the architect of the second too, as the 25-year-old nicked the ball and played in Oleksandr Zubkov, who made no mistake with the finish.

A second-half straight red for Brazilian Pedrinho gave the hosts hope, and a smart set-piece from Tillman was taken over the line by a sprawling Dmytro Riznyk.

The 22-year-old stepped up to level just three minutes later, firing a rocket into the top corner from distance.

With the game already into stoppage time, it looked like the Eredivisie side's late momentum would only earn them a point, but fellow American Pepi sent the Philips Stadion into raptures with a 95th-minute winner.

Gittens nets stunner in emphatic Dortmund win

Borussia Dortmund took a big step forward to automatic last 16 qualification as English sensation Jamie Gittens sparked a deserved 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb.

Ramy Bensebaini headed in Dortmund's second, while Serhou Guirassy made sure of all three points late-on.

Bensebaini headed against the crossbar inside eight minutes, but Dortmund would go on to take the lead shortly before half-time.

Englishman Gittens grabbed his fourth Champions League goal of the season, cutting inside and curling home on his left, a sight with which supporters are getting more and more familiar.

Former Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross provided the visitors with a second goal when his corner was met emphatically by Bensebaini.

And Guirassy finished off the match with a late strike to send Dortmund up to fourth in the standings.

Mukau spoils Bologna's first UCL goal party

Young Congolese midfielder Ngal'ayel Mukau's brace was enough to earn Lille their third win in four Champions League games as Bologna finally found the net in the competition for the first time in their history.

Jhon Lucumi was the historic scorer of that goal for the home side, but Mukau almost immediately responded for the visitors after netting his first-ever career goal in the first period.

Thijs Dallinga thought he had netted Bologna’s first-ever Champions League goal, but just as at Anfield, the Dutch striker was adjudged offside via VAR.

And Lille compounded their hosts’ frustration with a sucker punch just before the break.

Mukau opened his senior career account at the second time of asking, seeing his initial shot blocked off the line but making sure on the rebound.

Bologna were not to be denied their historic moment though, as Lucumi stole ahead of everyone at a free-kick to prod the ball in at the far post.

The home fans’ joy was immediately dampened when 20-year-old Mukau doubled his career tally by wrong-footing Lukasz Skorupski.

Crvena Zvezda and Sturm Graz claim surprise first wins

Crvena Zvezda claimed their first win of their UEFA Champions League campaign, coming from behind to stun Stuttgart 5-1.

Despite the German outfit registering more shots than their opponents, it was the Serbian SuperLiga leaders who showed greater attacking ruthlessness throughout the contest.

The Bundesliga side made the perfect start as Bosnian forward Ermedin Demirovic capitalised on slack defending to net his first-ever goal in UEFA competitions.

But Stuttgart loanee Silas swiftly struck against his parent club to level proceedings, winning the ball in midfield before driving to the box and placing a precise finish into the bottom corner.

And the hosts were ahead just past the half-hour mark, when Rade Krunic was given enough time and space in the box to rifle home his first club goal for over two years - his last coming for AC Milan against RB Salzburg in the 2022/23 Champions League.

Far from sitting off after the interval, Crvena Zvezda continued to threaten and their efforts were rewarded when Mirko Ivanic ghosted in at the far post to head in his side's third.

Krunic turned provider four minutes later, as ex-Marseille winger Nemanja Radonjic ran on to the Bosnian's incisive through ball and slotted past Alexander Nubel.

Radonjic and Crvena Zvezda were not fully satisfied either, the Serbian compounding Stuttgart's misery late-on with a composed cut and finish.

In the other early kick-off, Sturm Graz scored just the second goal of their Champions League season, as Mika Biereth earned the Austrian Bundesliga leaders their first win in the league phase.

The 21-year-old's 58th-minute finish was enough to beat Girona 1-0, with the Spanish side set to face Liverpool in their next European fixture.

The visitors started slowly in Austria and midfielder Ivan Martin was guilty of missing a gilt-edged chance in the 23rd minute, blazing over at the back post from point-blank range with the goal gaping.

Former Arsenal youth striker Biereth ended Sturm Graz's long wait for another Champions League goal this season, pouncing on a rebound to put the hosts in front 13 minutes after half-time.

And the hosts held on to register what could prove a vital three points come the end of January.
