United are continuing to survey the market for high-profile midfield reinforcements, and have registered a strong interest in Real Madrid star Camavinga.
Despite already adding Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to their squad this week, United are determined to recruit another elite midfielder, with Roma's Manu Kone also under consideration.
The Mirror reports: "Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga has emerged as a potential target for Manchester United this summer.
"As the summer transfer window rolls on, United are continuing to be linked with a move for a host of new players as they prepare for their return to Premier League duties.
”Despite three new players being added to United’s squad for this week, The Red Devils are still being credited with an interest in more new signings, particularly in midfield.
"United are believed to be pursuing another midfielder, despite already bringing in Santos and Tielemans, with Roma star Manu Kone also named as a possible target."
Bournemouth close in on Silva coup
Bournemouth are on the brink of securing a major defensive coup, with the club closing in on a deal for Benfica's 22-year-old centre-back Antonio Silva.
The Portugal international, previously monitored by Liverpool, Manchester United, and Chelsea, has already agreed personal terms with the club.
An agreement is close, though the official paperwork will not be signed this week, as Benfica intend to delay his departure until later in the window.
The Sun reports: "Antonio Silva looks ready to depart from Benfica with Bournemouth deal awaiting green light."
"Personal terms have already been agreed with the centre-back, and very close to club-to-club agreement. Reports mention that nothing will be signed this week as the Portuguese side will only allow the exit later on.
"The 22-year-old had previously caught the attention of Chelsea, having spotted a potential new pillar in defence.
"Manchester United were also targeting the starlet two years ago, as well as Liverpool."
Intern open talks for Romero
Serie A giants Inter have entered negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur over a move for Argentina defender Cristian Romero.
The centre-back is set to leave Spurs this summer, though any deal is heavily complicated by Tottenham's asking price and the player’s wages.
The Daily Mail reports: "Inter Milan have had tentative discussions with Tottenham over defender Cristian Romero.
"The Argentine, a divisive figure for supporters in recent months, will leave Spurs this summer, but his wages and transfer fee will limit options.
"Romero is still technically Tottenham's captain, but will pass on that mantle, with his future to be decided at the end of Argentina's participation in the World Cup.
"Barcelona are also among clubs monitoring Romero.
"Their priority, however, is Julian Alvarez, who remains a target for Arsenal. Inter also asked about Spurs full-back Djed Spence, as reported by Daily Mail Sport on Monday, and have discussed his England team-mate John Stones, who is a free agent after leaving Manchester City."
Forest to land Schlager on free transfer
Nottingham Forest are set to secure their first signing of the summer transfer window after agreeing a deal for midfielder Xaver Schlager.
The 28-year-old Austria international has agreed a two-year contract, with the option of an additional year at the City Ground.
The Athletic reports: "Nottingham Forest are set to sign midfielder Xaver Schlager on a free transfer.
"The 28-year-old had attracted interest from top clubs across Europe before choosing Forest, where he will sign a two-year contract with the option of an additional 12 months.
"The Austria international is in line to be Forest’s first arrival of the summer, as well as the first signing under new head coach Oliver Glasner."
