Two quickfire goals from Youri Tielemans and Emi Buendia at the end of the first half all but killed the game as a contest before Morgan Rogers added a third after the break.

The victory sees Villa claim their first major trophy of any description since winning the League Cup, and as far as continental success goes, it is the club's second European honour after winning the then-European Cup in 1982.

Emi Buendia – 9

Some delightful touches throughout and a goal to light up any final, brilliant feet to tee up Rogers for the third.

Typically tenacious display - involved in nearly everything to make sure he became the first Villa skipper to raise a trophy for 30 years.

Morgan Rogers – 9
